I just feel like saying something.
This is no longer the mindless drivel of a dissatisfied few. We've ALL "sensed" it, if you will. A sea change. WoW's quality has lessened. After years of forward momentum, WoW's progress has slowed. By the end of Cataclysm, you'd have to be blind not to see it. This latest trailer encapsulates that.
I don't know. It's not even that WoW is an old engine. Blizz has the tools, and it's not churning as good content as we've seen is possible.
World of Warcraft has been an immovable object for years. Maybe too long. I hope Blizzard won't start taking that for granted, or maybe it'll be WoW's turn to give.

I don't know if people have left, but it certainly feels like things are getting scraped thin.

I agree, it really feels Wow is slowing down.
Cataclysm feels kind of dull, I think Deathwing simply didn“t catch with the masses. In particular, I was expecting to begin caring about him a bit more with this trailer, but there was no character development or anything at all.
Hoping the 3 Hour of Twilight dungeons will quench my thirst for lore...

I get the feeling Blizzard expected this expansion to be a bit of a bust. They prioritised the revision of the 1-60 experience, with just enough content at 80+ to scrape by.
Will be interested to see what they come up with for MoP, when they should have full focus on the really new stuff.

Not disagreeing at all, here. It feels like they pushed this out so we could be done with it -- because they seem to realize Cata has worn thin on everyone's nerves.
There are no real new models for the bosses, and while I'm happy top go back to Northrend...it almost feels like the Dragonshrine was used as a focal point to keep them from having to design a new instance area. The fights look fun but...I dunno. Perhaps Wrath was the High point of the game. I have missed Northrend terribly for a year now.
I can only hope all of the creative energy and enthusiasm and lore that is lacking here will be pumped into MoP. Because this....it feels like the storytellers are asleep at the wheel.

Some of it may have to do with the fact that they seem hellbent on peeing on WC3's characters and influence when IT WAS WHAT GOT THEM FAMOUS AND THUS WHAT GOT PEOPLE INTO WoW ANYHOW.
Pardon my WrynnCaps but it needed to be said. I'm annoyed with this stupid backlashing shite. Please give me women with spine and grey/grey morality. If this second-string dev tram wants to play Orcs and Humans, they can do that on their own damned time instead of shoehorning WoW into that model. It doesn't fit and never will. Get real, you emptyskulled nostalgia hounds.
