I'm totally lost on this nontransmog thing. What's happening? What restrictions are people talking about?

Same here. What items were not allowed for Tmog? It sounds like they're talking about the Legacy PVP items? I've searched the forums and can't find this thread..

Essentially what's happening is Blizzard decided that as a way to reward players that got the PvP titles in classic only they would be able to transmog their current gear to look like the classic PvP gear.In and of itself, that wouldn't be a big deal, but in the last couple months, with all the posts and clarifications of what could and couldn't be transmogged, there was no mention of this restriction. Then there's the point that the gear is still obtainable, so you can still equip the gear, you just can't transmog other gear to look like it, which is a bit ridiculous.

Wow, what a kick to the groin. That was something I was considering doing, but hadn't put in the time to farm the honor points. Sucks to be the people who did, tho.The fault here is Blizzard's failure at communication. The only right thing to do is for them to remove those restrictions.

To add some details: at the beginning of BC, Blizzard added sets for Blood Elf Paladins and Draenei Shaman (for those who don't know, prior to BC Shaman were horde exclusive and Paladins to the Alliance - Blood Elves and Draemei changed that) and those sets also can't be used to mpg, even though it's literally impossible for a Horde Paladin or Alliance Shaman to have attained a PVP title, so the awesome Blood Guard set is completely off limits forever. The vast, vast majority of the playerbase joined after Vanilla. I played during Vanilla, but I've switched servers and factions since then. How many Grand Masters were there? Like a dozen per Vanilla server, tops? How many of them still play? How many that do are still playing the same character on the same server? They're rewarding less than a hundred people at the expense of millions. What an asinine business decision. But all of hat is tangential. The point of transmogrification is to allow players to customize their looks and experience the awesome old artwork again. All of these arbitrary restrictions show that some part of he WoW dev team is still mentally in the Everquest poopsocking mentality, and that's unfortunate for them and their customers.
