The Queue: Are we still having this conversation?

Are people really still going, "Oh no, Deathwing was beaten in a day, the game is over?" Really? Seriously? It's a pet peeve of mine when people comment, get dismayed, or proclaim the end of World of Warcraft when someone else (not them) completes content quickly that they are overgeared for anyway.
The content isn't complete until you complete it for yourself. The top guilds racing for the world first kills are going to put everything they have into world firsts because it's what they do. Are you going to rest all of your opinions about hot dogs on the fact that Takeru Kobayashi ate a bunch of them before you did? Hot dogs are too easy. Looks like hot dogs are gone forever now because Kobayashi ate them all. Canceling my delicious preorder ...
As for the title image, my favorite new cinematic is the one with the parachute jump onto Deathwing's back. It's short but sweet. Good job, Blizzard.
Andrew R asked:
In Cataclysm they gave us worgen and goblins. With MOP we get pandaren as a new race. Blizzard said they would never make pandas a playable race yet here we are. To keep things fresh they need to bring new features and races to keep players interested. Are there any races that will NEVER become playable at this rate?
At first, I wanted a ton of races in the game, especially naga, but then I realized that any race that doesn't stand on two legs is going to be a problem for armor models and mounting. Since the naga are not bipedal, they can't exactly ride around on the over 150+ mounts that exist in the World of Warcraft. That's a lot of lost content, so to speak.
There are always options, however. The naga, for instance, could pull a worgen/human and have a spell where they turn back into their highborne selves for the purposes of mounting but turn back into naga form in combat. You know, make up some new lore about uncorruption and restore some bit of their highborne whatever. Who knows? There are still a lot of races out there that could work for WoW, and I don't really think anything is off the table as long as more ideas are needed in game.
Edymnion asked:
When I hit the Raid Finder, it says the second half of DS isn't available yet. But, just as I logged out I saw someone on the Blazing Drake already. Does this mean the Normal versions of the raids are out there, but they just aren't letting us do more than the first one on the RF right now?
Correct. Only the Siege of Wyrmrest Temple is available in the Raid Finder. Next week, if I am remembering correctly, The Fall of Deathwing opens up with the final four encounters. In normal mode 10- or 25-man raiding, all of Dragon Soul is open and defeatable. Deathwing is already down on many servers because, frankly, it's normal raid content that is tuned for a significantly lower ilevel than what these guilds are going in and fighting Deathwing with. I would wager heroic content will take a bit more time, but if you were hammering through normal Firelands, you shouldn't have a huge problem with normal Dragon Soul.
Shane asked:
Would you recommend a buy, sell, or hold on Chaos Orbs now that they're tradeable? On my server there seems to be a race to the bottom, but I'm unsure if prices will stabalize or rebound.
Sell. The market is only going to be flooded with them now that everyone can roll on them. You know people just roll on stuff to put it up on the Auction House, so get selling while the selling is good and people want the stuff that Chaos Orbs create.
Madmerco asked:
Why does Tyrande all of the sudden have an accent? And where the heck did she get it? None, Zero, Zilch, Nada naga of the other Night Elves sound like she does in WoE.
What's up with that?
I have no idea what is up with Tyrande's voice in the new instances. What was the voice direction given to the actress? I hate to harp on voice acting because I generally enjoy it, especially with World of Warcraft bosses (except a notable few) -- but really, the Tyrande voice changes are just odd. Seriously, we have no idea.
blazenor asked:
What are the odds of Blizzard creating a Flaming Metal Unicorn that makes random guitar riffs sounds as it moves while leaving rainbow trails behind it for a mount?
3 to 1.

As Mark Twain once said, "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."
Shepherd57 Dec 2nd 2011 11:06AM
Are you implying that Mark Twain is really Deathwing?
raingod Dec 2nd 2011 11:07AM
All I'm saying is, have you ever seen them together?
Andrew Dec 2nd 2011 11:12AM
Oo, oo, can I play? Let's see, Deathwing wore something on his head. Mother Theresa wore something on her head. MOTHER THERESA IS DEATHWING!
Shyster Dec 2nd 2011 11:13AM
You know come to think of it I've never seen myself and Deathwing toget- OH MY GOD /mindblown
ravyncat Dec 2nd 2011 11:14AM
If Mark Twain were Deathwing, he would be a much better villain.
DW would have more of a personality and a likeable side underneath the evil. He would say more things than,"The world will end because I am Death. RAWR!!!"
We would get glimpes of the great creature he was before his corruption.
Damn. Too bad it isn't true!
The Dewd Dec 2nd 2011 11:19AM
Mother Theresa is Mark Twain?
Hal Dec 2nd 2011 11:23AM
Now all I want is photoshopped pics of famous people as Deathwing.
OUFanInKansas Dec 2nd 2011 11:28AM
No, Mark Twain and Mother Theresa are the new raid bosses from Mists of Pandaria.
Andrew Dec 2nd 2011 12:18PM
Oh, wow, guess no one here is a Lewis Black fan. Mea Culpa. o.o
Everclear Dec 2nd 2011 12:30PM
I bet a Mark Twain boss encounter would be more impressive than the Deathwing one.
MattKrotzer Dec 2nd 2011 12:56PM
I really doubt "black" is the word Mark Twain would use to describe his dragonflight... but I'm not going to use the one he would.
dryankem Dec 2nd 2011 12:57PM
Would time stop if Mark Twain and Chuck Noris fought? Would anyone other than Mother Theresa have a chance to save the world.... of warcraft?
Duts Dec 2nd 2011 12:57PM
Oh, oh...can I play this game??!!
Vincent D'Onofrio was in Full Metal Jacket. Deathwing has a Full Metal Jacket.
Vincent D'Onofrio is in Law & Order: CI. Deathwing will be the newest detective in L&O: CI!
mibu.work1 Dec 2nd 2011 1:10PM
Deathwing and Tony Stark.
Both fly about clad in metal shooting powerful blasts, both use their metal armor to prevent themselves from dieing due to a weapon of their creation harming them indirectly, both view themselves as 'betrayed' by those they once worked with (New theory! Obediah Stane and Alexstraza!?) and both have been seen as tin tyrants by most of the world at one point or another, while once having been forces for good! It all makes sense!
Nathanyel Dec 2nd 2011 1:15PM
Incinerate all suspects. Case closed.
Haarits Dec 2nd 2011 3:33PM
I'm gonna be "that guy" and point out that Twain never really said "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated". His actual quote was "the report of my death was an exaggeration."
Matthew Dec 2nd 2011 3:51PM
@ MattKrozer,
Although a product of his times (as we all are), Mark Twain didn't have what is now deemed as 'racist' thoughts.
He thought all humanity was just plain silly.
Metaphyzxx Dec 2nd 2011 4:33PM
Illidan is blind
Love is blind
God is love
Therefore, Illidan is God.
THAT'S how Blizzard will try to bring him back!
Lokanaya Dec 2nd 2011 4:56PM
@Everclear
That got me thinking... How would a boss fight against a writer work? Maybe they run periodically to a desk and create their characters out of thin air? Hmmm...
*thinks of what a raid against Chris Metzen would look like*
...Scary.
