Although Parallel Context addressed the issue, I think one could argue that the extent of the legion's corruption is viewed in many more gene pools than just the Draenei and Elves.
As the article mentioned, the brown orcs of Draenor were corrupted into the fel orcs and chaos orcs we see in Hellfire Pennisula and to a lesser extent the current playable race.
The forsaken, the undead in general, are all a product of the Lich King, originally created by the Legion.
The elves and Draenei were not only shaped by the legion's actions as the article described but were altered to their Man'ari eredar, broken, lost ones, wrathguard, satyrs, blood elves, wretched and felblood elf off shoots.
Many of the local denizens of Azeroth have become curropted as well such as dragons, furgbogs, and even spiders!
I'd be interested in learning if the Burning Legion is similar to Starcraft's zerg where a mutation at the genetic level eventually brings in new species into the fold. What are some similar characteristics between corrupted creature and full-fledged demons? General madness, bad hair days, and fiery appendages?

Don't forget that the Legion hasn't been the only corruptor in WoW. We've got the Old Gods to thank for the creation of the Naga as well as the fall of the Dark Irons. The domination of the Warden Mellichar in Arcatraz by Harbinger Skyriss is another example. Between the Legion and the Old Gods, I think we've got almost all WoW-induced corruption covered.
What I was working on with that post was a multi-post topic on how similar the two BC races are. Over my time of playing WoW, I've rarely heard a "meh" concerning the BC races, and after having played both sides, I've come to the conclusion that they're a lot closer than people give them credit for.
