entirety of World of Warcraft is on sale for a grand total of $35 on the
Blizzard store. In addition, the
Celestial Steed (aka Sparkle Pony aka Glitter Stallion) and the
Pandaren Monk pet are on sale, too. This is how the prices break down:

A similar sale is how I bought my rocket last year, total expenditure 35 but ened up costing $20 since I got a month of free game time along with my rocket. Kind of tempted to do it again and actually use the second account, maybe for some ah shenanigans.

Since I just bought 3-for-the-price-of-2 time cards over at Best Buy, (thanks to your twitter alert this afternoon) this looks like a great way to introduce someone to the game & give them some "free" time as well. Oh, the fact that I'll get a mount for refer-a-friend has absolutely nothing to do with it, I'm sure. Also, OMG, the monk would put me at 100 pets...

Any word on whether this sale will happen for EU players too? There's nothing on the website yet but if they have the same sale there, I'm super tempted to maaaaaybe get a another (third) account...

Well that's just lame. The EU sale is crap compared to the US one. 25 Euros for WotLK compared to $10. In my country's currency that's four times as much. Once again EU gets the short end of the stick. :(

EU sale is crap...Battlechest is 9.99 euro. WOTLK is 24.99 euro, and cata is 24.99 euro for a whopping total of 60 euros to get up to date. At todays exhange rate that's $81US.

I'd love to have a dicount on Realm Transfers/Race Changes during the holidays. I know it's wishful thinking but hey; it's nice to dream, eh?

I'm telling you i agree 100%. I wish they would do that, no lie this past month or 6 weeks i've spend 155 in realm xfers for multiple toons.. Needless to say I hate the server I was on =)

I have "stranded" toons on a couple of WoW servers since a couple of guilds died or friends quit playing. I'd really like to consolidate them on my main server, but now that I've seen a competing game do it for free I'm disgusted at what seems like a penalty/money grab. That's one of the things I like at Rift that I wish WoW would copy; you can change shards (servers) for free, limited to once a week (I think) per toon.
Also get this: when the guild I was in on one shard changed to another, they were able to do a guild move; the bank moved, all the data and xp moved, and people who hadn't moved yet got a notice of where the guild went. Upon moving my toon over, I automatically regained guild membership and level. Pretty freaking awesome, especially since it only took about 20 seconds after hitting the button to move before I could log in again.

That is awesome, but as long as people continue to pay for it (like the fool I am because I HATE having toons spread out on different servers) they will continue to charge for it.
At the end of wrath I had 10 toons 1 of each class at 80, and I wanted more per server, with this expansion in the future with a new class/race I really hope they remove the limit for 10 characters per server as I will want a Monk in my guild.
Here's to hoping they realize the error of their ways, and fix it.
