How to fix that %$!@# mature language filter bug

The addon community has graciously given us many fixes for the mature language filter bug, but the one I've been using is called Mature Language Filter Fix. You can grab it on Curse, slap it into your Interface directory in your WoW folder, and ta-da, no more mature language filter. Tell them how you really feel, every time, with this fix. There's also Force Mature Language Filter, which does the exact same thing. Two choices!

I don't mean to highjack the first post but I figure this is important enough.
If you are looking for an addonless solution, all you have to do is uncheck the box and alt+f4 out of the game. That will save the setting for some reason. Worked for me and my guildmates so hopefully it works for you guys, enjoy!

This should work if you don't wanna fool with another addon for a temporary problem:

@Talutha: When you exit the game directly instead of logging out, the game doesn't have a chance to write any changes made to your personal configuration files. This is why if you d/c after changing around your interface, you usually log in to see all of your changes lost.

Alt+f4 only works if you keep logging out this way. Once I logged to switch toons, it came back.

Sarahjane: that macro "toggles" the setting, so by clicking it a second time, you enable it again. Also, such hotfix addons don't take up a lot of RAM if they're coded properly, in fact, they may only run once at login.

So, I don't have a problem with the meme, but it's just completely out of context here. You're kind of supposed to use that for when someone posts something really complicated, ridiculous, impossible, or most likely, unintelligible with poor usage of language.
This post fits none of that criteria, so I'm going with Gorelord on this one, you've lost your "what is this I don't even" meme privileges.

well, point one: the privilege wasn't yours to take away, hoss.
point two: the meme is also appropriate to express confusion as to the purpose of the OP's post, which is how it was intended here. as for your definition, i am of the opinion that mr. mccurley's post fits neatly within the "ridiculous" category. as some posters have noted below, who really cares about a bug that turns your mature language filter on? hardly worth writing a post about informing folks how to "git their ignorant on", especially when a quick internet search would do just as well. i expect more from the writers here at wow insider.
moreover, do so many people really identify with the OP's hypo that they are cursing the fact that they can't obviously curse? i'm all for appropriate "choice" word usage and placement, but it boggles my mind that one would be so insistent that they be able to use lewd, abusive, and altogether ugly language in game that they would go out of their way to download an addon for it. honestly? get over yourselves. i think it's an indication of the direction the community is heading in that people would choose to do this instead of taking the high road, especially when dealing with "that guy". if you can't communicate some other way, then maybe you shouldn't be communicating at all.

to those folks who will no doubt throw out the, "this is 'MERICA! ah do wut ah wahnt!"...yes...yes it is. and so do i. you may not like what i have to say, but, well...it's just as much my right to say it.
...and yes, i get the fact that the mature language filter may poke it's nose into conversation where it doesn't belong...but there is something to be said for understanding via context. it won't hurt, promise.
