The Queue: Get angry! Get mad!

That sure was a lot of The Big Bang Theory hate yesterday. I have nothing to add to that conversation, but wow. You guys are passionate about your television.
Passion is a good thing.
Aszra asked:
Is there a way to turn in your old 'tattered' Darkmoon Faire tickets into current darkmoon currency? I have like 60 tickets saved up in my bank from the old version of the faire and it just seems like such a waste if I can't use them.
Sorry, your old tickets are vendor trash.
khatre asked:
What happened to the purified black dragon egg we all saved?
I have to assume that its still out there ... somewhere ... Waiting to give birth to a new Mostly Harmless black dragonflight. Or am i wrong?
It hatched. It matured. It's Wrathion, son of Neltharion. He's the guy rogues work with in their legendary daggers quest chain. He doesn't want to be controlled, and he knows that most major forces in the world want exactly that -- both the remnants of his father's corrupt brood and the rest of the dragonflights. He uses the assassins of Azeroth to ensure his freedom and survival.
Dr. Nothing asked:
So what in the blue, sheep filled, mage-flavoured hell is going in the two 'under construction' tents at the faire? ENQUIRIN' MINDS JUST GOT TA KNOW!
Private dance party. You're not invited.
In all seriousness, there is a lot of unused land on the Darkmoon Island in addition to those (very empty) tents, so I think Blizzard built the entire island with expandability in mind. It wants to be able to add onto it without needing to do significant terrain and graphical work every single patch. It can easily open up one of the tents in the next content patch and put some cool new vendors in there without much effort on the part of the artists and world devs. Just like it could add more quests out in the open forest or populate the cave on the side of the island.
Sean asked:
LFR Question: Has anyone had luck queuing up in LFR at times outside of normal "WoW Prime Time?"
I work nights, which has always excluded me from being part of a Raid team. If LFR is putting groups together in the mornings/afternoons/wee hours of the morning then it would be worth gearing up one of my toons to get into it.
I don't know if this will be true forever, but I haven't had any problems getting raids via the Raid Finder in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning. Popularity of the feature may decline during content lulls, but right now there doesn't seem to be a problem.
Ganrokh81 asked:
Since Deathwing is finally defeated, did we ever find out why he only destroyed the Park District of Stormwind?
I'm not sure we'll ever find out, but my theory? My theory is Deathwing's appearance in Stormwind was a method of recruitment. At the end of Hour of Twilight, Archbishop Benedictus says, "I looked into the eyes of The Dragon, and despaired ..."
Whether that's literal or figurative, I'm not sure. I don't think it matters.
Deathwing's show of power swayed many of the people of Stormwind to his side in the conflict and most notably swayed Archbishop Benedictus. Deathwing needed servants and thralls to help him conquer Azeroth. Deathwing and the Twilight's Hammer chose Archbishop Benedictus to betray the Alliance and take the Demon Soul from Thrall. Killing everybody in Stormwind would have been conterproductive to Deathwing's plots.
TL;DR: Deathwing destroyed the park to recruit Benedictus. He left everything else intact out of necessity.

How come season 11 honor gear looks the same as season 10? The conquest gear are the new model but not the honor gear.
(cutaia) Dec 7th 2011 11:09AM
Because the Season 11 honor gear is just an upgraded version of Season 10 Conquest gear. It's not supposed to look like the top tier stuff.
Think of it this way...the Valor gear from 4.2? Now available for JP. It's the same concept, except the PvP gear gets a slight upgrade and gets marked with "Season 11" to differentiate.

A better question is why does the Season 11 Paladin gear no longer have a robe? When it first got datamined, it was easily the best Paladin set yet. Maybe the best armor set period.
It still looks incredible, but quite a bit less so now.

The s10 conquest gear became the s11 honor gear.

Ilmyran,
I could not possibly disagree more. I despise plate dresses, and I am so, so, SO glad that this one has pants. I'm totally not against the possibility of adding both a dress and a pants option, or a display option to turn pants into a dress, so that we may both be satisfied, but I simply hate the way plate dresses go down in WoW. The oversimplification of models that is necessary makes it so that pants and a tabard are actually closer to what my conception of how a plate dress ought to look than the plate dresses of WoW. Yes I can use my imagination, but the image is still there, staring back at me every moment I play.
Sincerely,
T9 Paladin.

@Ilmyrn
Are you sure about that? Just checked the old MMO-Champion posts, and they're showing leggings.

Why did he get downvoted for asking a question? It wasn't really a negative question. It reeked a little of whining, but it was still a valid question.
Ilmyrn Dec 7th 2011 12:41PM
@Loop-Not_Defined: Well, Google image search says you're right, but I distinctly remember the dress version, largely because I thought that Blizzard had finally one upped Judgement as far as awesome plate dresses go. The only image I could find though, was this one: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/wrazor/PalaS11BEMR.jpg
For what it's worth, in today's brave new world of transmogrification, I would wholeheartedly support separate rove and pants versions, and let people transmog it to their tastes. Personally, I always WANT a good robe version, but it seems every time Blizz tries it they fall short (Aegis, Lightsworn, Immolation).

I think a little part of my paladin died inside when I saw the changes that had been made to the Season 11 gear. I loved it's original design and coloring (curse you 2200 people!). I agree that it still is amazing but I would at least like to have the option of the robe look for holy paladins. Something about healing and robes just go together :(
Saikoujin Dec 7th 2011 12:58PM
The paladin S11 set was never previewed with a skirt. I'm not sure were you got that from.
As for last season, they goofed. The S10 HP gear was supposed to have looked the same as S9 CP gear, but instead looked like the S9 HP gear. This season, the gear looks how it's supposed to be.
Ilmyrn Dec 7th 2011 1:14PM
For that matter, this very website's got the robed version: http://wow.joystiq.com/photos/patch-4-3-ptr-season-11-pvp-sets/#4485905.

Question:
Any idea or word on why we don't get any guild rep for completing the Darkmoon Faire dailies? I was very disappointed to see this. I've gotten everything i need from all the other Cata faction dailies, so i was looking forward to the new DMF dailies as a way to keep building my guild rep up.
It would definitely add some incentive to keep doing the DMF dailies. Only 1 ticket for each quest makes them barely worth it otherwise, esp considering most of them take 2 attempts to complete.
Sagretti Dec 7th 2011 11:18AM
You only receive guild reputation from quests that reward experience, and thus guild experience, even if you're level capped. Since the Darkmoon games quests don't award experience, they also don't award guild reputation. Most likely Blizzard didn't want to give a decent amount of experience, or gold for level capped toons, from 5 quests that take only a few minutes in total to complete.
Noyou Dec 7th 2011 11:29AM
I'm pretty sure my lvl 85 toons who are not exalted with my guild were indeed getting guild rep from the DMF quests. I will have to get back to you later to confirm.
shomechely Dec 7th 2011 11:45AM
Pretty sure I got guild rep for my Darkmoon Dailies this morning.
Sagretti Dec 7th 2011 11:38AM
The non-games quests, at least the profession quests, reward experience and guild reputation. It's just the games dailies that only reward Darkmoon tickets and Darkmoon rep.
wow Dec 7th 2011 12:18PM
I was playing around the DMF last night and was being rewarded with Guild Rep from Quests not involving the Games. Hope that is helpful.

Q!
Ever since the patch dropped, I've noticed something weird: when I'm in a group, half the time I seem not to see the debuffs/whatever that other group members are using. For example, if I'm grouped with a rogue, I don't see any poisons; if I'm with a pally, I don't see hammers or... um... whatever pallys use. Has anyone else noticed this?
Nathanyel Dec 7th 2011 11:13AM
Sounds like an addon problem.
tymneal Dec 7th 2011 11:46AM
Under your settings, go in and enable debuffs from other players...
