If the Alliance is to have a High anything in charge, let it be Tyrande. Or Shandris. Or Maiev. Or whoever it is who's actually in charge of the Draenei military. Any one of those figures would have infinitely more combat, tactical, strategic and leadership experience than Varian.But because he's the human, he's in charge.BAH

I can understand why people would think like you do, but as we've seen in warcraft, experience isn't everything. It definitely has its benefits, but it isn't the deciding factor. There are plenty of examples: Anduin Lothar vs Orgrim Doomhammer, Arthas vs Uther and Illidan. In all these examples those with "less" experience triumphed over more experienced veterans.

But you wouldn't pick someone to lead your armies based on how much of a protagonist they were. You'd pick them based on skill, experience and reliability. Varian doesn't have the millennia of experience Night Elves and Draenei have, and he's too unstable to be reliable.
