The Daily Quest: Faire and fairness

Darkmoon Faire is pretty cool, but the music on the island is absolutely amazing. Though some are grumbling about the length of time it's going to take to grind out tickets, one thing's for certain -- this isn't going to be content that you can blow through and subsequently get tired of in two weeks' time.
On the other end of the spectrum, the blogosphere's been abuzz with chatter about Raid Finder exploits and those who've taken advantage. Today, we've got a few posts that address both!

you seem to have missed also the part about how the fair is only open for a week once a month.
but zap really did have it. it's there to be fun over all else. a perk and a change of pace.

Look, it's just my taste, and it's not about rewards. I just don't see the content as particularly rich. In fact, it's a lot like an actual county fair: you go once a year and have a good time. But would you go 7 days a week, once per month? No. The only reason to do that is for the rewards, which I am moderately interested in, but probably not enough to continue grinding.
I contrast it with the truly rich content of the new instances, for example. I don't need a damned thing from them, but I've still queued up for at least one almost every day since that patch because I think they are great fun. Similarly, I continued doing the ICC instances long after I was fully geared out because I just enjoyed running them.
I think the actual content of stuff to do in the faire is thin. The shooting game is turn, right, left, or to the middle, and click. Etc. I like the atmosphere, I've tried all the foods, and so on, but without compelling activities, or reasonable rewards, it probably won't keep me coming back.
Again, that's just me, but last night when I went I immediately noted that it was almost deserted.

Certain parts of the DMF music really remind me of Danny Elfman and Russel Shaw's work for Fable. The accordion parts obviously not, but the general dark tone, the tinkling of high-pitched bells that comes in occasionally, and the general darkness of the arrangement without any noise instrumentation (making it feel mysterious but decidedly not scary) really remind me of those two composers.
