In Well of Eternity, we destroy the portals the demons are using to leave the palace... why is it thought logical that this will cause the palace to be emptied of demons? Shouldn't we get a demon backlog if we destroy all their means of leaving?

I think it just means they have to travel out to the battlefield on foot, so they're now leaving a different direction that doesn't affect us.

I thought we were destroying the portals they were using to arrive; the ones who HAD arrived kept marching because they needed to head out to the battle with the Ancients, dragonflights, Night Elves, and their other allies.

I think Boobah is correct. The portals are the means of demon arrival. I've actually only been there once though!

I think Boobah is correct. The generators we destroy power the portals that are bringing demons IN. We're preventing more from coming while the ones that are already here head out to the war.
I've only been there once though! I should go check it out again.
