Pretty sure you've got the details on Flame Shock's duration wrong. Unless they've changed how the whole haste+dot thing works, 27 seconds isn't the minimum duration of glyphed Flame Shock; it's the duration it oscillates around as haste changes, from 25.6 seconds to 28.4 seconds (that's either side of the first break point; as you add more haste, the ticks get shorter so the oscillation narrows.)Of course, if you renew a 28.4 second Flame Shock at 25.7 seconds into its duration (that is, right after the second-to-last tick), you'll have a Flame Shock on the target with 31 seconds duration left.Either way, aiming at haste break points is a fool's game, since we don't have a static rotation thanks to Rolling Thunder, Fulmination, and Lava Surge. Add in the four piece, procs like those on Insignia of the Corrupted Mind or Ti'tahk, the Steps of Time (which will screw with your 'perfect' haste even when you're not the one equipping the thing) and you can't hold at an ideal haste number anyway.Yeah, I know you didn't say anything about break points, Josh; you said sim it out. Just wanted to folks to be clear.
