Thankfully, unlike Firelands drops, a good weapon here is relatively easy to come by, and an upgrade is available when you finish the instance.
When you finish what instance? Did you check for cohesion :P

Still confused...what upgrade is available, and how do you obtain it?

I'm referring to the fact that you have the opportunity to get the Spire relatively early in DS, with an upgrade (Kiril) from a later boss. This is better than Firelands, where you either had to get lucky with a Ranseur drop or get all the way to Staghelm.

Ah, ok. I'm reading comprehension fail. I should have realized what you were saying, as I NEVER got the Flamescythe from FL, and got the Spire my first week in DS.

Took our team 19 domo kills to get the Flamescythe. By then we were doing heroic, so it has a *slightly* longer value.
I think it was a fail on Blizzard's part to finally put in something so cool for druids but to make the drop rate so small that most people just won't get to use it.
Now, they could save themselves if you were able to transmog your current weapon to the Flamescythe and also get the firecat visual effect from doing so. Sure, most druids would look like they are carrying around the same weapon - but at least it would be valuable again.
