I'm in a mostly pvp guild where not a lot people are super interested in raiding / old content / mount runs. I came from a guild that did that sort of stuff all the time (fun runs). True, Firelands isn't exactly what you would call a fun run, but I think the concept is somewhat similar. Our guild has a forum website and I posted on the forums asking if anyone was interested in doing these things and when they were available. I found a decent group of interested guildies, worked out a night one night a week that they were willing to go.
Sometimes if you ask about that kind of stuff in guild chat peopled don't notice or they don't want to drop what they are doing to form up a raid. But if you plan it out in advance and set a schedule, sometimes you can find the right people to help you out.
