Oh durr! I knew that, but had my head on embers for some reason which I can't even *fathom* now given the rest of the conversation. XD And well then, phooey and a pox on the jerk who ninja'd her essences. That blows.

And yeah, patience is key. And -- not to turn around and harp on your poor mage, but as I'm hearing more of the story, perhaps a cooling-off period will be good for reminding her that she's got to contribute to everyone else's success too. Your Beth'tilac story makes me wince, because really, she should have been the MOST prepared person there. :-( We can talk about how the staff is a benefit for the guild as a whole-- and it IS, but it does benefit her most of all, and I agree with you that she owes it to the other nine people to help them succeed as much as they owe her.
