Well, since you put it that way (Legendary not as important as progression) you should delicately reminder her of that fact.

I stand by my math that you are only 3 full clears at 4/7 HM away from the staff (even on 7 per boss). I like your idea of going back after a few weeks of clearing DS. You should be geared enough that several of the fights become facerolls.

I will add one last point. The Legendary is better than every single DS heroic staff. The proc is that good. Having an extra 500,000 to 1,000,000 damage on a boss fight can make all the difference during progression.
