Brann will win. After all, if he can't find an artifact that will help him come out on top, he'll just assemble a hearty group of adventurers that will help him do so. And hey, he's a dwarf. All else fails, he has stoneform.

brann always struck me as being something of a tribute to gary gygax and dave arneson(the guys who created D&D) for the way he just gathers a bunch of arbitrary adventurers and has them go strolling through a dungeon in search of monsters and loot.
