Just a quick question: I've never listened to any of these podcasts. Are they worthwhile to listen to? (i mean no disrespect to any of those who make or appear in them or who enjoy listening to them.)

Oh yeah, you betchya!
I haven't gotten around to listening to all the podcast here, but the many I have are worth a listen. Don't feel obligated to listen to any of them starting back at their first episodes; just try out the ones listed above.
Off the top of my head, I recommend Convert to Raid, even if you don't raid. That one has awesome production quality and lively hosts.
Anne/Shade is lovely in every podcast she does, and she did not point out that she guested on The Overlores linked above!
I've enjoyed The Reliquary, which is a new one by a couple of altoholics that talk about lore and the casual side of the game.
So yeah, give some a listen and make your own call. :)

There is a wow podcast for everyone. In most cases once you find a show you like the host/hosts will point you to shows they like and from there you can make your own judgements.
I would also point you to http://www.wowpedia.org/Podcasting This list while great for seeing what updates during a giving week. Is also limited in that way too. The wowpedia list has all the currently active warcraft podcasts in seven languages.
Hope that helps

Thanks for your encouraging comments. I enjoy reading about WoW and was just wondering if the pod casts were as high quality as the articles i've read here. Thanks for your insights - i'll start listening to some. Blastermyer

Podcasts are like blogs, only you don't have to read. :)
They are great for listening to while you do other stuff.

I just read the new short story of Blizz: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/lore/short-story/charge-aspects/3#readmode
And i found a passage: The blood of the old gods does not respond, for they are not part of Azeroth.
This one sentence might change the theory i have seen over the past few weeks about Azeroth being part of the old gods or vice versa.
