Festivus is a fictional holiday first celebrated in large scale on the TV Show "Seinfeld", celebrated by characters as a response to commercialism in the Holiday Season. It's held on December 23, with its primary symbol being an unadorned aluminium pole displayed like a Christmas tree in a stand. The holiday includes a meal (capped with a Pepperidge Farm's prepacked cake decorated with M&Ms), an airing of grievances, where you tell people how they've disappointed you during the previous year, a test of strength (literally a wrestling match), and any minor positive coincidences are hailed as "Festivus Miracles."
