WoW Moviewatch: The Secret of the Crystal Eyes
The Secret of the Crystal Eyes is the kind of machinima we regrettably don't see a lot nowadays. Essentially, it's a cinema-format movie. It runs about 22 minutes long and features characterization, plot, and world development.
While the particulars of the movie may or may not appeal to you, I encourage everyone to take the time check out this story-based movie. A frequent complaint among machinima viewers is that there aren't more films like this. The only way to encourage their creation is to visit, comment, and celebrate each release.
The Secret of the Crystal Eyes features some pretty good animation, fantastic voice acting, and a well-developed plot. Adventure stories tend to appeal based on personal taste, but there's plenty going on in The Secret to satisfy any WoW fan. The technical aspect of the machinima are astounding; take the time to check it out.

UGH.
Man, I'm sure you are correct about the technical accomplishments of this film, but the storyline is so corny and cliched, and the characters so two-dimensional, that I'm starting to writhe in my seat just watching this.

Oh my lord, I thought I was the only one. On Warcraftmovies it's got a 5 average and everybody loves it, but when you look past the effects it's utter crap. A girl squad fighting an evil Alliance man and his group of mentally retarded body guards who run into walls. Oh, half way through the mean alliance man is actually a demon, jee whiz!I didn't even watch the end, I felt sick watching such garbage.

I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to Rico's next long format story.

Sorry, but the facial animations (and the fact that they're so often the focus of every shot) really creep me out. :/
Echoing Marco Polaris' post though. Technically quite solid, but the storyline and characters let it down. The clunky script made me wince several times, and the voice acting seriously lacked flow, particularly at the beginning.

I completely agree. Those close ups of faces while they talked were really creepy.
Very good camera work though!
