It doesn't take very long to find a Dragon Soul group using the Raid Finder. Certainly, you won't have time to read in-depth descriptions and watch complex videos before the queue pops. For those of you who need a quick run-down or just don't have the attention span for anything much longer, Fatboss has created a guide to Dragon Soul ... in a 1-minute video.
This video will be at its funniest if you've already completed Dragon Soul, of course, since you'll then get the joke. if you need a super-fast description of the fights that's in more earnest, check out our 5-second guides for Siege of Wyrmrest and Fall of Deathwing. I've done all of DS, I don't get the joke. Unless it's that the raid IS a joke, and buggy, and disappointing. So then I get that, but it's not what I'd call a funny joke, especially if you just signed up for a year of WoW to be on the butt end of this joke.
I think the point of the joke is that he's simultaneously completely correct that those are ultimately all those fights involve, while at the same time oversimplifying them to a hilarious degree. Ultraxion: "Press button... GG" is the best example of this. For the DPS, that fight it pretty much just about pressing the button. Even for healers, it's about pressing the button and clicking an appropriate healing crystal. But I'm not sure if everyone would say Ultraxion is super easy - the enrage timer alone means, particularly on 25 man, that you have to be very focused on both doing as much damage as possibly and not screwing up. So, it's about pushing the button - which is an easy concept, but in practice the fight is much more unforgiving than many of the other fights in the raid.
(Sorry for wordiness, I'm writing a term paper atm and my brain is in make things as long as possible mode)
Eh? I'm guessing it was because of the accent + speed, 'cause he was actually quite understandable. Plus, if you just think what those fights involve you can pick up even the parts where he's a little harder to understand.
I agree, I couldn't understand him in this video. It was the accent/speed of it, like Saeadame pointed out. But I agree that these bosses are no very hard in LFR mode as long as the whole group knows what to do.
For someone who isn't a native english speaker - yes, he was quite hard to understand. It went way too fast. Best do a 2 minute video instead and then talk so we don't actually miss the jokes -_-
@kristelledecker - Ultraxion is still a dps check in LFR. We ended up in a group with not a single druid or DK. The single lock SS themselves, instead of saving for BR. The highest dps was 23k only 3 more that were 20-22k, and everyone else was below 18k. Had a healer afk. I gave up after 3 tries.
LFR seems to have fixated on Purple>Yellow>Green. I gave up yelling THERE IS NO SPLASH DAMAGE OMGWTF and just nuke green now, let the poor LFR healers work it out.
I was do Purple>Green>Yellow. Green might not be important for LFR, but LFR is a "training wheels" for people going into raids. So it's good that people do go in thinking green is important in LFR so that when they go into the actual raid, they will already know the kill order.

The LFR is the joke, dude.

@Sae
I'd argue that the enrage timer is tighter on 10man than 25.

I really couldn't understand the guy. I'm assuming he was just blathering the one line explanations as fast as he could, but it wasn't very funny.

That's what vote kick is for.

I would have settled for "PURPLE > YELLOW > RED!" for Yor'sahj.
Rai Dec 16th 2011 1:15PM
...for LFR difficulty anyway.
Infinite Duck Dec 16th 2011 1:29PM
It gets old explaining that green doesn't need to be killed in LFR.
"SPREAD!!! SPREAD SPREADDDSPRPEAEDPRDSR!!!! *nerd rage*"
"Green doesn't do splash damage in LFR"
"It doesn't? Oh..."

@Fluffywumpki of Kilrogg:
One needs healers for LFR? Since when? LOL.
