Breakfast Topic: Have transmogrification limits stymied your character's look?

For example, I'd love to wear a leather eyepatch on my death knight, but since he's a plate wearer? No go. I would pretty much wear an Ashkandi forever and ever if I could, but if I pick up a two-handed axe in a raid or instance? Can't transmog it. My hunter has it even worse. I roleplay her as more of a backwoods, live-off-the-land type turned sniper, so she'd be more likely to dress in brown or black leathers instead of big, flashy suits of mail armor. Alas, under the current rules of transmogrification, I'm stuck with tier 11 while her Defias Leathers stay languishing in the bank. Finally, I had every intention of dressing up both my blood elf paladin and my gnomish warrior in level 60 PvP gear, but you probably heard that only those characters with the old high-level titles get to transmogrify that stuff for now.
So what about you? Are some of the transmogrification rules keeping you from putting together the look of your dreams?

One of my favorite gowns, the Black Embersilk Gown, is not soul bound.
I nearly cried when I realized I wouldn't be able to transmog it instead of carry it around for non-combat fashion opportunities.

Ah man... I haven't got to play with the transmorgrification yet, but I was soooo looking forward to decking out my hunter in some ratty-looking leathers.
Crap.
Maybe, I'll op for some ratty-looking chain.

This. This a million times over! Can not upvote enough.
I was so excited for transmog, so I decked myself out in T1, the only set of gear I had farmed up that COULD be transmogged, I went off to the new dungeons and promptly replaced three pieces of gear. Every two-handed mace I tried to transmog my weapon to was invalid. And I'd prespent a shitload of points on items that wouldn't transmog.
FFFFFFF----
So I decided to ignore Transmog as a feature, it's utterly terrible... the proper approach would have been cosmetic armor slots next to our current armor slots. Pay some money to unlock them or whatever. Though as a casual player, there's more goldsinks for me left in the game than there ae untransmogryfiable items. But hey, whatever it takes to make me do the same 25 quests every day right?
F WoW. I regret coming back for 4.3

I know I'm gonna get flak for this, but I think the level 60 PvP gear restriction is actually very fair now that the titles are actually back in the game. They actually MEAN SOMETHING again. Why should you get the raiment and attention for free if you didn't earn it?
That being said, I do find some of the restrictions on Transmog a bit bizarre... although I can understand not wanting a warrior running around in robes or a mage in plate; it creates that much more potential for drama and could potentially confuse new players who don't know what mogging is.

The level 60 PVP restrictions are pants-on-head retarded, and really soured me on the whole Transmogrification thing, as half the outfit I had planned made use of pieces from this, which, while I didn't earn them in the old, outmoded system, DID earn through excessive BG grinding of tokens in the early BC era.

No, I think *you* missed my point.
My point was about the way fictitious wolf men and fictitious elf women look with different sets of fictitious graphics attached to them in a video game.
If you want to read something from outside the video game into it, I can't stop you.
If I want to think you're crossing a line in calling me a racist, you can't stop me.
Please remember that WoW is a *video game* whose graphics are not meant to be realistic depictions of life on Earth, and that most of us play to have fun.

I agree that you should be able to use anything you can equip as xmogging source.
I should be able to tank Deathwing in a wedding dress using a large trout as weapon and a boucqet of flowers as shield dammit!!
