The Queue: The rum ham mix-up

Look, we're sorry Mat, OK? The ham bomb was an accident. It wasn't supposed to happen like that. We thought Sacco or Fox would be over hanging out.
And it was supposed to be a rum ham, anyway.
Guy commented:
What I find funny is, before Cata, everyone asked for GS, not it is iLVL, but GS has actually taken spec into acct. If I am a tank and have all caster gear on it will lower my GS, while my iLV could still be amazing. I sort of hope iLVL will take spec into acct come next expansion. The game already knows what the intended spec for gear, so a iLVL tweak can help.
It wouldn't surprise me if it did. But that being said, it just goes to show what Blizzard has always said -- there's no good measure of exactly how a player will perform. Just as I knew people in Wrath with insanely good gear scores who were awful, I know players in Cataclysm with insanely good item levels who are equally as god-awful (if not more so now that AoE isn't a thing anymore).
Twowolves asked:
Since there is no big bad in MoP and the focus is on the new Horde/Alliance war, I would love to see the characters from the Vanilla and TBC cinematics make a return appearance in the MoP cinematic. What do you think the chances are of that happening?
I agree the answer Mat gave in the comments yesterday:
We just gotta wait and see.I have a feeling that this cinematic will be very much about the Pandaren and their homeland. I'd love to see those guys make a comeback, though. I loved the "player" inclusion in the cinematics, but the Arthas one was just so awesome and the Cataclysm one was "on-point."
Telwar commented:
I just tried to copy over my WoW folder from old pc to new using my 32gb USB drive, and it didn't work. So, I went and redownloaded everything from Blizzard last night. Didn't cost me anything but time, and I did that overnight anyway.
Just want to point out that you've likely encountered an error while copying over the data. It most likely happened either on your network or via whatever medium you were copying it over with. I've never had WoW give me an error after copying it over that wasn't a result of something on my end.
Brian asked:
My girlfriend and I are leveling new characters right now and I don't know which to level, I have at 85 a warrior tank, a druid healer and a resto shaman for pvp and she has an 85 hunter. She is leveling a resto shaman and is at level 37 right now, I have a level 35 rogue and a level 37 mage, both have all heirlooms. Which should I level with her? The rogue or the mage? Which is at a better state of dps right now?
Everything is pretty balanced at the endgame for most people (yes, not you 1% that can do ZOMG DPS and push Blizzard's balancing past the limit). That being said, I think ranged players generally have an easier time with moving and continuing to put out DPS than melee players do, and some of the encounters later in game seem a bit more conductive to ranged DPS than melee. Go with the mage.
Greg asked:
If you are going to name your hard drives after types of bears, what kind of list of bears would I be looking at? And what would your top five be? I'd go with Huggy Bear as one of mine.
I grew up around White Bear Lake, Minn. -- went to high school there and what not, so that'd be one. For the complete list:
- White Bear
- Spectacled Bear
- Kermonde Bear
- Ussuri Bear
- Gobi Bear

Always Sunny...at first I was like..WTF?
It's great...wrong but great.

I always prioritize green higher then red for one simple reason:
Everything works better when you're able to stack up. Red does less damage, adds on black die quicker, easier to heal on yellow

Lore question incoming:
During the Horde quests in Azshara, Azuregos comments that he does not want Kalecgos to become the new Aspect of Magic. Is his comments ever explained?
razion Dec 20th 2011 12:43PM
There is a rivalry within the Blue Dragonflight between the two (both pining for leadership Aspect position) within Christie Golden's relatively new Twilight of the Aspects novel. I won't speak of spoilers in-case you or anyone else were planning on reading it, but I will say that that rivalry is certainly mentioned and does have a presence.

He's a Knaak character, the 'real' NPCs hate those guys.
Skarn Dec 20th 2011 4:12PM
@Razion
Actually, in the book it's ARYGOS who is vying with Kalecgos for Aspect. Azuregos has no part in the book. Azuregos might agree with Arygos or Azuregos might just not like Kalecgos, but Azuregos is not trying to become Aspect.
Is that enough -gos?
ThatGuy Dec 20th 2011 8:57PM
@skarn. It is Arygos that is the other canditate for aspect, but he does have his supporters. There was a second named dragon who supported him, and spoke against the other aspects even after things went south.
So it was more than just him.
Skarn Dec 20th 2011 11:13PM
@ThatGuy
True! There was another dragon. Several in fact sided with Arygos at first, but their hearts decided on Kalecgos during the ceremony. The specific dragon you are thinking of was named Teralygos. Razion suggested that Azuregos was attempting to become Aspect, which he was not, so I was merely offering a correction.
razion Dec 21st 2011 12:18AM
I couldn't even remember the poor dragon's name correctly, when there are so few blue dragons left in the world. Are all dragon's the same to me? I feel so dragon-racist. So dragonist. I think... I think I need a moment.

Gobi Bear sounds cool. It's such a well rounded name. Say it about 5 times...it just rolls off the tongue....Gobi Bear. :)

For Raid Finder Yor'sahj, what is the preferred kill order for slimes? I know Purple (1st) and Yellow (2nd), and Green isn't important since the acid damage doesn't spread from players in RF. I've seen people suggest either Black or Blue, but I'd love it if I could give a clear order for players to understand. Saying "either/or" just confuses folks.
I'm guessing Black? Seems those adds take far longer to kill than the Mana Void from Blue, and getting everybody back on the boss sooner would be preferred.
I haven't had any wipes on RF Yor'sahj yet, just want to make sure it stays that way.
kingoomieiii Dec 20th 2011 11:14AM
Black is easy. Everyone loves AOE.
I've seen wipes on Blue when people don't switch. The heals go OOM, and everybody dies.
Wilk Dec 20th 2011 11:14AM
Never blue. Blue can always be dealt with. I see green fairly often, and while I know it can easily be handled by the healers, I've stopped arguing with people who want green to be a high priority. It's just not worth the effort.
