She probably should have gone with Illidan. The two of them together would have been a powerhouse.

Why? So she can be Illidan's prize that he keeps on his mantel and shows off to his buddies? Illidan's not a good person that's looking to support Tyrande's life goals. He just wants Tyrande to prove that he's the bestest. Malfurion's the one that actually cares about her, even if the recent instance is CRAP to prove that. All their previous lore and interactions mean nothing because of one badly written line? Yeesh.
