The thing is, she only has sway in the books she writes. She doesn't have sway on the game, and nor should she necessarily. Being a good writer does not automatically make one a good video game writer. (In fact it is very very hard to transition from one to the other, because ALL the rules change.)

I guess she is the closest we could hope for. Now we need to figure out if she can create strong women who can love a strong man and somehow manage to balance that.

From what I understand though, the outside writers have to get everything cleared by the "team" that Metzen leads that handles all the writing for the universe. All Metzen has to do is be like "Eh, I like her better when Malfurion is around..." And we are completely blocked.
