I envy those who think the new 5mans are fun. I can understand people hating ZA and ZG due how long they were but these new 5mans are another extreme - Absolutely Zero Challenge which, for me, means Absolutely Zero Fun.
I wish the new 5mans were tougher, sort of shorter version of ZA/ZG, obviously in a different environment and with different mobs.
In "trolls" pugs happened to wipe even in the last days of 4.2, the new 5mans are just Zzzzzzz... If I do nothing the other 4 guys won't even notice one DPS is jumping around naked of boredom. (Queue predictable jokes about poor DPS. :)
Calling that Heroic is just BIZARRE in my eyes... And to top it in all three you wait for some stupid NPC all the time. :(
Jin Do, Erudax, Dragha, where are you? I don't even know names of the "bosses" in DS 5mans. Why would I when one can faceroll them half sleeping in 20 seconds? :(

What's interesting is that groups will now wipe on the original heroics like Grim Batol and Stonecore, even decked out in RF gear - because they're getting lazy with their interrupts and CC.

You have a good point there. There's nothing wrong with having challenging instances, just don't make them so damn long like ZA and ZG. Though I do like that they weren't so linear... that part was refreshing.
Regardless, they shouldn't have been so hard. That's the charm of the final 3 Icecrown 5-mans.. they were short, but still challenging. Especially HoR! Then look at Utgarde Pinnacle and Halls of Lightning, which were worked out fine... they were long enough, challenging as well, but if you knew what you were doing, they weren't so bad. Well, maybe HoL was until you got better gear.
What Blizzard should've done, in my opinion, is given us ZA and ZG that weren't quite SO challenging (maybe make the final bosses challenging, but not the sub-bosses) and then made tougher dungeons in the HoT 5-mans.
It's kinda funny. My friend was SO nervous about the Hour of Twilight dungeons after the troll dungeons. I kept telling her they were easy, and she didn't believe me, and finally we did End Time, we went through the Obsidian Dragonshrine, she accidentally aggroed all the trash when we were going after Baine (not that I blame her for it being her first time), and she was convinced that she wasn't good enough for these dungeons. I told her it's REALLY easy and proved it by doing End Time myself in less than 20 minutes. She tried it again and did all three that day and she was like, they ARE easy!
