I don't do Facebook, guess I'm out of luck on this one.
ladygamertn Dec 28th 2011 5:19PM
sharing is a step to far for me. Sorry, but no thanks.
Dawts Dec 28th 2011 5:36PM
Ashamed you play wow eh? Because between all the ville-game spam I'm sure people would be annoyed by you sharing a picture on your wall.
loop_not_defined Dec 28th 2011 5:37PM
Loves me some mounts, but yeah, not sharing. I prefer not being obnoxious to my friends.
ladygamertn Dec 28th 2011 6:16PM
No, not ashamed that I play WoW, I post screenshots of things occasionally. I don't play FB games and I hide announcements from my friends that do play them. I just don't want to to HAVE to share something a contest REQUIRES me to share. I still make my own decisions. I am not ruled by greed or immaturity.

@ladygamertn
Forgive the inference, but when you state that "sharing is a step to far for me" and "I just don't want to to HAVE to share something a contest REQUIRES me to share. I still make my own decisions. I am not ruled by greed or immaturity." It seems that you're OK with liking or even commenting despite the ostensible contradiction. The only differnce here between sharing and commenting/liking is that people you know will see it.

The difference being that I am now putting one more thing on all of my friend's & family's updates.
It still isn't a matter of shame for me. It's a matter of respect.

When I shared it, I just set the permissions to "Only Me". It still counts as a share, but no one should see it on your wall.

Would love a proper gift for winterveil!

Too bad this is on Facebook. I like my privacy a little too much.
VioletArrows Dec 28th 2011 5:53PM
Do what I did. Fake account with a bunch of gibberish and a dedicated Gmail. Strangely enough it doesn't have any spam in it either after 5 months, and I use it to enter all kinds of contests and crap.
Nadia Dec 28th 2011 5:55PM
I tried that before, and got a ton of strange (and sometimes frightening) friend requests.
Deleted that fake facebook, and never looked back.
VioletArrows Dec 28th 2011 6:25PM
They're just spam accounts. Block them and they'll stop coming in a week or two. :/ Or you can set it so you can't even be indexed or searched.
Noyou Dec 28th 2011 7:09PM
I used to do that until they made you bind a phone # to your account. My current FB account is under a fake name but has my current cell phone registered to it. I am still not doing the contest, because I believe it's kind of dirty pool. For the amount of free advertising they will get, they should give everyone a free mount.
Revynn Dec 28th 2011 5:44PM
Time to go see if my wife will let me hijack her Facebook account for this.
Piper Dec 28th 2011 5:51PM
:sigh: No thanks. I stay off of Facebook, mostly. I'd also not spam a company to those I do know there.
A little too brazen attempt at self promotion for me. For shame, Cryptozoic.
madfigs Dec 28th 2011 5:57PM
Facebook marketing is pretty gross. I am extremely lucky to have gotten a Swift Zulian Panther so I can have a cute kitty mount without spending hundreds of thousands of gold (or annoying all my friends).

Can I get ALL of them? lol
Tenorman Dec 28th 2011 6:06PM
Guess who could care less about sharing stuff on Facebook?
