Winter Veil isn't quite over yet, which means we still have a little time to enjoy some WoW holiday carols. Arrowstorm put together this video celebrating a GM's gifts to guild members.
12 Days of Winter Veil is a nice review of what we can expect from WoW for the next year. While the song feels like it drags on a bit, the original version does the same thing. There's not much you can do to make that song go faster.
Here's hoping everyone's staying in the spirit this week! Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
You have it right: "teer" - but at least that's not as bad as one commenter awhile back who was screaming up and down about how the video got it "wrong" and vehemently stated that "scourge" was pronounced "scowrj".
@Agony re: "...vehemently stated that 'scourge' was pronounced 'scowrj'."
That's HIGH-larry-us! You wouldn't happen to remember which article that was, would you? I'd like to read through it. Movie Watch? WotLK cinematic?
I knew someone who pronounced "squirm" as squee-rum. It delighted me quite a bit, so I didn't dissuade him from using it. It made me squee-rum with suppressed giggles!
No offense to the creator of this video, but dude, next time get somebody else to sing it. I get the feeling that english may not be your primary language, so yeah, get a buddy that is to do your singing next time, k?
That was a pretty accurate description of whatever that "song" was - seriously, I think they might be scraping the bottom of the barrel for this column.
fact: his singing was pretty bad fact: enlglish is pershaps his second language. Opinion: I kinda liked it. It had the feel like innocent new person and his gm was getting him started. Yeah tier killed me a bit every time. But I liked the rest.
Enjoyed it a lot, including the singing voice and the English language. I doubt if any of those who are criticizing can manage a word of Danish. It's nice to see a non-professional machinima for a change, especially one as happily spirited as this.

So, is "tier" pronounced like "tire," as in the video, or "teer," which is how I've always pronounced it?

Yeah, just hit the video on YouTube, the creator is Danish.

This isn't a song. This is gut-stringing a cat with musical accompaniement.

*laughs to death*

Nope, can't speak a word of Danish. Thats why I don't try to fake it by singing in it, unlike Christina Aguilera and Spanish.

I don't have to like this, or even tolerate this, just because his English is better than my Danish.

This was...
Well...
Something?
I mean, the lyrics were... something
The singing was... something
Yeah, it was something

If you want to make the song "go faster" Day twelve starts at 3:27, so you can get all the content starting there.
Excellent work coming up with the lyrics. I've tried doing this for a few things, but I've had trouble.

I had this same reaction by 0:45 of "Where shall I skip to so I do not have to listen to this lyric being warbled out 9 more times!?"
Also, I think the tempo is a bit lacking -- I have never heard "12 Days of Christmas" sung at such a paleolithic meausre!

Not entirely sure why... but I loved it! :D

Poor me: I shall never experience this video beyond 2:03. And who gave my cats switchblades???
Andrew Dec 29th 2011 1:40AM
Couldn't sit past three tire pieces, but not because of the English or the voice.
Dude, it switches into 3/4 time for the list, don't try to keep it in 4/4, it sounds like you're gasping for breath.
