The Queue: Happy New Year

A big thank-you to all of our readers and friends for your love and support in 2011. Happy new year, and may 2012 bring you great joy and Asian-themed epics!
Jack Spicer asked:
When you send emails to users, like for example to say that they've won a 12 days of Christmas prize, what address would the email come from? I want to make sure that I'm not blocking your email communications.
The winners of our Winter Veil giveaways will most likely be contacted either from alexziebart at gmail dot com or alex at wowinsider dot com.
Greg asked:
When is the next call for breakfast topic writers going out?
Long story short, the Seed platform isn't viable for the type of call-outs we like to do for Breakfast Topics anymore. We're looking into a way to do more call-outs, and we'll obviously let you guys know when we're ready for your posts.
Morgatho asked:
I noticed today in the Hour of Twilight 5 man the skull of Galakrond in Galakrond's Rest seems to be smaller than DW's head in the madness of DeathWing fight, so my question is, was the power of the old gods that great to beef him up to bigger than the dragon the titans used to create the Dragon aspect?
I think it's safe to say that Deathwing was beefed up a bit by the power of the Old Gods, but keep in mind that while Galakrond is supposed to be the largest dragonoid to ever have existed, dragons (Deathwing included) can change their size and shape at will. We don't know what the upper limit is, though.
jerid asked:
Hey guys I know this may be the wrong forum to ask in, but does anyone know if wow insider has ha SWTOR insider? I really will miss the phat loot fridays and the queue, but since we have a tor head now and we get news from massively. I was wondering if there was any plans for a site like this for the old republic.
Checking out our sister site Massively (like you suggested) for TOR news is a good idea; we don't have anything to announce regarding a "TOR Insider" or the like right now.

What level in first aid do I need to do the DMF monthly? Also, is it weird to 0 linen cloth on the AH?
Gniver Jan 1st 2012 12:25PM
75. And no it isn't that weird :).

Question for the Q.....do you know whether Bliz has ever planned to put more achievements in the game for those of us who solo the bigger content. It would be good to have cheevs for say, soloing all the Wrath dungeons or single handedly running classic raids?
eakin3 Jan 1st 2012 12:48PM
Considering there's still a raid group requirement to even get in to old raids I wouldn't expect Blizz to put in any kind of recognition for solo raiders any time soon.
Scunosi Jan 1st 2012 3:56PM
Also since it's a very class-biased thing (Hunters and tanks can often solo things by the end of an expansion, but it'd take Ele Shaman and Priests multiple expansions to get through the same content) I doubt they'd ever add anything that specific.
ZodiacDragons Jan 1st 2012 5:45PM
As Scunosi said, not all classes can solo old content. As cool as having that badge of honor would be, don't count on it.
Now why there is still a restriction to enter raids solo is beyond me. Blizz needs to remove that.
Moiread Jan 1st 2012 5:56PM
Dunno if we need specific solo acheivements, but adding some to old content would be cool. Isn't there one in Ulduar that specifies what ilevel you can be wearing?

Any chance you could tell us how to make an account and flip the picture next to your comments to something diffrent? I've finally figured out the account part, but no the picture part.
Rhüarc Jan 1st 2012 1:05PM
To change your picture, you have to log in from the Joystiq main site (http://www.joystiq.com) though I wouldn't get your hopes up too high, it seems to work for some people, and not for others.
Priestess Jan 1st 2012 4:37PM
I have been trying to figure that out for years. Years. Everyone always says exactly what Rhüarc just said: "you have to log in from the Joystiq main site (http://www.joystiq.com)". Some people even told us how to find your user id, where the links to change things were etc.
But I am one of those on the end of his very precisely correct observation that "it seems to work for some people, and not for others." It never worked for me, no matter how many directions or times I tried it.
Until about a month ago. When it finally worked. Although now I can't change it, try as I might.
500th time's a charm? I dunno. But I can assure you that that *is* the way to do it, is seems you simply have to hit it when there's a full blue moon during a summer solstice in February. Or.... something like that.
Good luck.
libfeathers Jan 1st 2012 5:23PM
I can log in on joystiq.com, but then where do I go to change pictures? If I click on my name, I get a list of my posts but no place to change account info or anything. What if I needed to change my email address?
Skyrei Jan 1st 2012 6:42PM
I'd been trying to do the same thing as well. Until recently, clicking my name on the Joystiq site would bring up a completely white page.
dmberreth Jan 2nd 2012 2:48AM
Logging into the joystiq main site is part of it, yes. But that never worked for me either. I read a post a while ago from someone with the same issue, and I followed their advice to get it to work. It was embarassingly simple, really.
Clear your cache and history completely before logging onto the joystiq site.
That was all I needed to do, and now I have the sexy Draenei icon.
RetPallyJil Jan 2nd 2012 5:29AM
Depending on which icon this post pops up with, you just may be my favorite person ever.

Happy new year everyone

Hi,
First, Happy New Year!!!
I don't know if it is already been answered; too many (and this is good) The Queue to check, so be patient with me. ;-)
Is there has been any info if in MoP there will be Cooking's recipes purchasable with some sort of marks? If so, will they be purchasable with current "Chef's Award" marks?
Since I am doing dailies to farm money I would like to know if it will be worthed to continue to do current Cooking's dailies since with Mount Hyjal's (due to some time off, I hadn't finished the second phase yet) and Tol Barad's (I am trying to purchase the flight mount) ones I can easily cap the daily 25 quests limit (actually those two zones togheter have more than 25).
Thank in advance.
craig.eddy Jan 1st 2012 12:39PM
I would guess they would be new marks.
Nadia Jan 1st 2012 1:58PM
I would do the cooking daily for the marks anyway, especially if you're trying to make money.
You can use the parks to buy the crate of meat, and then sell the meat on the auction house (feast ingredients and the +90 food ingredients can sell for nice amounts of money).
Shinae Jan 1st 2012 4:04PM
It's safe to say that the current Chef's Awards are not going to usable on anything new in MoP. See how the Dalaran cooking marks could only be used to purchase stuff from the Dalaran vendors.
