Breakfast Topic: Did you accomplish your Winter Veil goals?

The gifts have been unwrapped. The cheese logs have been consumed, the Greench's plans foiled, the eyes shot out. The Winter Veil holiday is drawing to a close today -- you have only a few short hours to get everything you wanted to accomplish done. (If you don't want to miss anything, you should probably check out The Overachiever's Guide to Winter Veil 2011.)

That said, those of us here at WoW Insider want to know: Were you able to achieve all your in-game goals for the Winter Veil holiday? Did you get all the achievements you hoped for? Was Greatfather Winter kind to you? Did you make a fortune selling Small Eggs? Or did you just say "bah, humbug" to the entire holiday?

Yes; I now have another toon with the merrymaker title, with only 3 or 4 more holidays for my second Long, Strange Trip. While I would love to have gotten the coal pet, I only did the Greench daily 5 times total across three toons, since that wasn't my goal, and the fact that I'm just incredibly lazy - traveling out there wasn't enticing enough (even though most of the time, I had no work to do to get it done; I only fought the Greench twice out of the 5).

I am mad.
Why? Because the stupid winter revelers keep thinking I need more Fresh Holly.
I DON'T NEED FRESH HOLLY. I NEED SNOWFLAKES.
I'm hoping I can snag the kiss and finish before it ends in about 15 minutes, but my debuff is saying otherwise. :( Going to have to try again next year.
(Only if I didn't have to do stupid cooking...)

Lumpy: No check.

Guess I can look forward to another two weeks of dailies next year for Lumpy...

NO. Went and got the red winter hat, to do 'tis the season. Sat and ate my fruitcake, did not get the achieve, was not aware that my boots were damaged and that they needed to be repaired b4 you ate the fruitcake. CAN NOT get anymore fruitcake till next year. Was not a happy camper.

Put in a ticket. I know the GMs had no problem handing out more fruitcake so they may be amenable to giving you the chieve retroactively. The damage thing hit a lot of people and I think Blizz knows it's bogus.

I got the Meta-Achievement, which always makes me happy. And although Lumpy escaped my grasp, I received both the Raven Lord and the Blue Proto-Drake last night. I guess that makes up for it. :D

All I really wanted was the sweater on all my alts and I got it on all my Alliance kids. My main Horde character also got it. My other Hordies didn't because I couldn't be bothered to run them all to Orgrimmar--they all live in Silvermoon.

I ended up not playing for most of Winter Veil because I was too busy with real life holiday stuff. Didn't do the Greench or anything else. Maybe next year. I really hope they make the Greench more like other holiday bosses. I would have made time to do him if he were like the Headless Horseman.

For some reason, I thought Winter Veil would last until Jan 6. I logged on this morning and realized it ended at 8 am server time, today. I wanted Lumpy on my shaman. I managed to get a couple of people together to help me (neither a tank), we hit him, I dropped my elemental totems, heroism...the Greench smacked me hard. Reincarnated, we all died. Rezzed and got back, a Horde mage showed up. I went resto, we tried again...we would have had him but at exactly 8 am, the Greench disappeared mid-fight. Not happy about that. :(

I'm ashamed to say I got lumpy on my main but ate the fruit cake with only two pieces of the holiday clothing on. So no Meta for me.

Umm, you could've petitioned a GM. They had the reply process so automated that I received 5 pieces of fruitcake in less than 20 minutes. And I'm assuming they had to automate it since many of my alts didn't receive any fruitcake this year.

I didn't manage to get Lumpy. :( Did the Greench every single day, even Christmas day! Oh well, I have horrible luck with RNG (still no Brewfest or Horseman's mount either...)

Did get Merrymaker on my new main, so that was nice. Sold some small eggs for a decent amount, but didn't make a "fortune" - the prices on my server were reasonable, so I made a bit of gold, but not a ridiculous amount.

Finally got the Merrymaker achievement last night. Spent all day Saturday and Sunday running bgs, camping Org and camping the Greench looking for a blood elf warlock. I really do not think there is such a creature. Found a few mystical dwarf rogues which i had a hard time finding for Harvest Achievement. Finally asked a guldie to roll a lvl 1 blood elf warlock and got the achievement. Not looking forward to Love is in the Air and Lunar Festival which are all i have left for Long Strange Trip.

I got all the presents on all of my alts.

I failed to get a Lumpy on my main, though.
So no, no holiday success story to crow about.

Ran 5 toons through the Greench daily, EVERYDAY, got one (1) Lumpy for my effort. =+{

Yes, I was lucky enough to get Lumpy on my main pet-collecting toon.

And, as an extra special added bonus, I also got the Crashin' Thrashin' Racer, which I originally received back in 2008, but for some reason subsequently deleted from my bags.

No lumpy... so nope. didn't achieve my goal, which was to get it on my main (ran it on 3 other toons, one of which was a DK tank, just for the ability to solo the Greench, then log-swap all my toons to save the deer at one go.)

I did manage to get lumpy on one of my alts which would save me a bit of headache when they consolidate the pets for MoP
