Known issues from the Darkmoon Faire

The newly revamped Darkmoon Faire returned yesterday for its monthly one-week engagement in Azeroth, but it wasn't a flawless return. Players working on the Darkmoon Defender, Darkmoon Dungeoneer, or Darkmoon Despoiler achievements may have noticed the tally of items turned in has been reset, with few exceptions. Players have also been reporting that these monthly quest turn-ins, which should be resetting, are not, leaving players with dungeon-acquired items that cannot be turned in for another set of tickets. If this has happened to you, don't panic -- Community Manager Kaivax has chimed in on the issue, and although no fix has been put into place yet, Blizzard is aware of the issue and working on a fix.

What about the item, "A treatise on stratey" being a dungeon item that can only be looted from a few raid bosses? I just realised this yesterday.

the treatise by far is the hardest to get. :(

I feel like I'm the only one running original heroics. I've found a bunch and have been selling them for 7-10k each.

I would happily, HAPPILY, buy one for 7k gold. On my server, I have seen exactly *ONE* Treatise go up on the auction house, ever, and that was for 17k (and I scan the AH fairly often). They really did a good job of burying that thing in content that is miserable to farm, and that, simultaneously, no one runs any more.

On my server, there's been two:
One sold for 10k in less than an hour (or they cancelled the auction for some reason)
The other is currently up for 40k

I was offered 15k for one yesterday, but I figured I'd better use it myself, or it'll be me paying 20k off the AH to get the achievement

What I'd like is some official word on if the drops for Ornate Weapon, Imbued Crystal, and Mysterious Grimoire were altered to be level-appropriate; it seems like I (and a lot of people on Wowhead) haven't had any luck getting them since yesterday.

Those and the Monsterous Egg. Haven't seen any from my prefered farming spot.
Granted, my prefered farming spot for my 85 was Zul Farrak, so maybe Blizz finally fixed the "level-appropriate" portion of the item drops.

those drop all the time in the new HoT dungeons. I got 2 of them but you can only roll greed on them.

Anybody have an issue with the Grisly Trophies disappearing? I thought I had all 250 in my bank ready for turn in, but they are gone.

They reset all quests, because its a monthly reset. So unless you completed a former quest, the quests reset, including your progress on them. So unless you handed in those tokens before reset (which you haven't), they reset. Unless you got the full achie for handing in all the different drop-thingies, your achie reset.
Its unfortunate, but this monthly quest thing has now made its first appearance on the live servers. Bugs were bound to happen, they will be fixed, and hopefully you'll get your tokens back as well as the parts of achies you already had checked.
If not, then remember: DMF is in town every single month till WoW dies, plenty of time to get your goodies.

I was unable to get any Grisly Trophies to drop from L80 or 84 mobs last night. Hopefully that's on their list to fix soon too.

There has actually been a monthly quest in the game since 2007.
In Nagrand, once you get to Friendly with the Consortium, you can get an envelope of random green-level uncut gems. This is a quest, and resets monthly. The better your rep, the better quality and more gems there can be.
It's not a progress-based quest, but it is still a monthly-quest, and therefore they are not technically new.

I have a character that got a full 250 grisly trophies between faires, and was able to turn the quest in this week. I can't say that I've seen trophies disappear, but mostly because I only have a couple characters on the quest.
