The Queue: Being a nothlit is cheating
I can't explain why, but last night on Twitter I went on an Animorphs nostalgia trip and took most of my followers down Reminiscence Lane with me. Eventually the discussion devolved into a debate over which animorph was the best. I think we need to settle this in the most relevant place possible: a World of Warcraft blog.
Personally, I'm going with Rachel. If you choose anybody but Rachel, you're wrong and should feel bad about yourself.

Necromann asked:
What level in first aid do I need to do the DMF monthly? Also, is it weird to 0 linen cloth on the AH?
You need a skill of 75 in your trade skills before you can do the Darkmoon Faire monthly quests. That applies to all trade skills, not just first aid. As for there being no Linen Cloth on the Auction House ... I'm not surprised. Players don't spend much time in the level range where you'd be looting Linen Cloth, but every single person leveling first aid and tailoring need it. A new tailor nowadays probably doesn't loot nearly enough linen to skill up properly. I imagine they have the same problem with wool.
Caylynn asked:
Are the quests for the Darkmoon Faire to hand in the artifacts not repeatable? I have one of the PvP artifacts in my bags, and I went to take the quest for it today. I received a "quest is already complete" message, but I haven't completed it yet for this DMF. I did do the quest last month.
They are meant to be repeatable, but some of them have bugged out and haven't reset as intended. Blizzard is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. This is the first opportunity those quests have had to reset in a live environment, so there are bound to be some bugs to work out. Hopefully Blizzard can take care of the issue this week and we won't have to worry about it going forward.
Yvl asked:
Not EXACTLY WoW related, but Q4Q anyway: Is this fake? Dunno who else to ask about this.
I certainly don't want to make a habit of answering The Old Republic questions in The Queue, but I can help out with this one. As far as I'm aware, no, that is not fake. It was a pretty hot topic in the TOR community over the weekend. Players were exploiting an endgame PvP zone with low-level characters to acquire endgame items and equipment. Exploits are exploits. As we've seen so often in World of Warcraft, creative use of game mechanics is never a valid defense.
Sergel asked:
BTW, about the Breakfast topic, how long does it take to get a response? I wrote mine over 1000 days ago, but the last breakfast topic i did i got a response within a week
Uh ... 1,000 days ago was almost three years ago. I'm fairly certain you couldn't have submitted a guest post three years ago. I'm going to assume there's an extra digit on the end of that number and it's supposed to be 100? Either way, we no longer use the Seed program. I hate answering these sort of things in public because I find that rude, but you asked in public, so ... you should have received a rejection notice. If for some reason you didn't receive one, congratulations! You were still rejected. Sorry, dude. Every article we've accepted via Seed has been published. If something hasn't been published, it wasn't accepted.
Andrew R. asked:
2 questions for The Queue. I recently switched to a smart phone and have access to the mobile authenticator. Is the mobile authenticator more handy than the stand alone authenticator I bought when they first came out?
I use the mobile authenticator now and have no problems with it. I used the dongle for a long time, but it was one of the first-generation authenticators (I was an extremely early adopter), and I figured it would kick the bucket eventually and switched. Better safe than sorry, right? I know there are a lot of people out there who won't use the mobile authenticator, though. I think it's a don't put all of your eggs into one basket issue. If you lose your phone, you lose access to your WoW account, too. Until you call customer service, anyway.
Which you need your phone to do.
Which you lost.
Good job.

I had many obsessions in my adolescent years. Dinosaurs. Ninja Turtles. Power Rangers. Pokemon. that game Creatures. Those shoes with the plastic plate in the bottom you could slide on rails with. But few things rivaled my devotion to Animorphs. The kind of devotion that drives a kid to plaster his door with printed out book covers and read the Alternamorphs spinoffs. I must have read every book in the first 20-30 a dozen times each.
I have been, and always shall be, on Team Marco.
