Wowcrendor has made pretty good with his unreleased cinematics series. His Unreleased WoW Mists of Pandaria Trailer nailed down some of the fan myths and legends spurring on the oncoming pandapocolypse.
His new Unreleased Dragon Soul Cinematic is no different. Wowcrendor revisits the final cinematic in Dragon Soul, in which the dragon aspects chat about their new mortal lives. We even get an arrow-to-the-knee rebuttal, killing a joke that very badly need killing. I can't help but feel this is a more realistic conversation between the dragons than the one we actually got. After all, who wants to spontaneously be made mortal? Bring on the Age of Pandas!
Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
I love wowcrendor. Most videos on youtube that are WoW related are little more than moderately attractive women vying for attention with their slightly elevated camera angles. Would love for you guys to prove me wrong ofcourse....
Prove you wrong? Gladly, good sir! Most boss kill vids and instructional videos rely exclusively on in game footage, so no moderately attractive women there. WoW machinima are generally green-screened character models, so no moderately attractive women there unless you count the blood elves. At least some of the WoW video blogs are created by men, though I have no actual statistics here. Still, I doubt that women even appear in "most" WoW-related youtube videos unless it's behind their characters. Did that work?
Funny, when I watched the cinematic I too felt it just reeked of Lord of the Rings. Normally I love blizzard's cinematics and lore-work but that one felt like they just phoned it in.
LOTR? I got more "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" out of it. You know, the scenes at the end with the partying ewoks, and the CGI ones Lucas stitched in later of fireworks on Naboo or whatever.
Please, it was a total ripoff of Dragonlance, when the gods said "Ok you're all on your own now - thanks for all the fish!" and dumped the world into the Age of Mortals.
Not that it's a bad thing; everything takes inspiration from everything else. As a DL fan, it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. However, gotta call a rip a rip :D

I shouldn't have laughed at that arrow joke, but I did. -_-
I didn't realize how widespread it was until I couldn't take two steps in SWTOR without someone in chat regurgitating it.
