Thanks to
@Proenix00 on Twitter, we now know that the new Eye of the Legion pet and cosmetic item Demon Hunter's Aspect are rewards from the
WoW TCG.
Datamined from the new
patch 4.3.2 files, these new items have been fueling some talk as to whether
Mists of Pandaria would include more Legion-inspired antics or if the launch events leading up to the new expansion would be demonic in nature. The Feldrake mount does not appear in the list of items in the screenshot we have, but it could be possible that the Feldrake mount will get subbed in.
We do not yet know which
TCG expansion that these items will be available in and whether or not the Feldrake is the equivalent to the Timewalkers Mount that is labelled [DNT] in the screenshot above. Hopefully, it will all be revealed to us soon. The Timewalkers Mount sounds to me like it might be more akin to the new chromatic dragon mount models found in the previous patch. At this point, we do not have concrete details.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

Timewalkers Mount? Will that be a Space Chicken? With Rocket Talons? And a Beak Laser? Will it? Will it?
madfigs Jan 5th 2012 1:14PM
Plainstrider with TLPD coloring... calling it now :P
pzor Jan 5th 2012 1:18PM
Oh please please please let it be a Space Chicken!!
Imnick Jan 5th 2012 1:34PM
I hope it's not an infinite drake
I want an infinite drake without having to do any TCG ):
RogueJedi86 Jan 5th 2012 5:32PM
How about a TARDIS mount? I know it's not quite the same, but a timewalker........come on. :)

After the new demon hunter quests added in cataclysm, the new demon hunter story lines like the allusion to this secret ancient order of demon hunters known as the Dark Embrace, the new demon hunter tattoos, and the update to Illidan's original demon hunter form pre-Skull of Guldan,... I am really hoping to see some demon hunter content on the horizon soon.
Patiently waiting for demon hunters since 2004 now,.... which were advertised on the original box art as being playable,.... argh.
Drakkenfyre Jan 5th 2012 1:36PM
Where were they advertised? You mean the shirtless Night Elf wielding dual glaives?
That same picture also showed a Dwarf Hunter shooting a Pyroblast at a dragon with a gun. Another image showed Teebu's Blazing Longsword with completely non-existent stats.
Early beta/concept screenshots shown on the inside flap do not necessarily indicate an advertisement for said image. The entire image was completely unrealistic in terms of gameplay, but it served to make you think of the things you could do.
ElrithCC Jan 5th 2012 2:09PM
I'm not making accusations over legal slander or false advertising, there's no need to defend anybody. I'm basically saying a shirtless night elf wielding demon hunter glaives that is blind folded was on the box, as well as a blurb over "upcoming hero classes" which led me to hope for demon hunters.
Chill out, I'm only talking about my desire, not any broken promises.
Drakkenfyre Jan 5th 2012 2:30PM
Hey, I would love to see Demon Hunters in the game as a playable class.
But citing a dramatically-crafted (and incorrect) image meant to lure buyers in as an advertisement specifically for Demon Hunters is a bit of a stretch. Yes, the Night Elf does resemble one, but as I said, it also showed a Dwarf shooting a Pyroblast out of a gun, and I think other inconsistencies, such as a hostile Bronze dragon being out in the middle of Winterspring.
So "assuming they were playable because someone looking like one was on the box" is different from "Were advertised as being playable."
SadisticMystic Jan 5th 2012 6:06PM
Drakkenfyre "A Dwarf shooting a Pyroblast out of a gun." I don't think he was, actually. It looked like it, yes, but there was a little gnome mage right at the edge of the screenshot with fiery hands. If you look closely at the Pyroblast you can see it's coming from slightly to the side of the Dwarf, not from the Dwarf himself.
Also, the dragon they're fighting looks red to me, but I can't be certain. It also looks like they're fighting it in Zul'Gurub, which I've gotta admit is pretty strange. Either way, it doesn't matter. I agree that the Demon Hunter-looking guy is a bit misleading.

The fel drake should go to the warlocks. if locks can't get a new type of demon for flying around then this will do.
and for paladins Blizz can make a gryphon with really shiny armor.
Imnick Jan 5th 2012 7:50PM
It amuses me to no end when people think that Blizzard will add more class mounts
I laugh even harder when they imply that if they ever do, they will be given to classes that already have class mounts
Bapo Jan 5th 2012 1:52PM
I really wish they would just add in some mounts in game that weren't tcg related every now and then (besides major patches). Make a Rhino, and a couple others perhaps? I'm hoping the Feldrake will turn out to be a non tcg mount.
Gordal Jan 5th 2012 4:18PM
Personally, I would kill for a Northrend-style Saberworg mount. I'm still frankly surprised we sill don't have them and are still stuck with the derpy Cletus-styled underbite wolves.
mitch_b_666 Jan 5th 2012 7:05PM
WTB Warlock flying mount
and maybe a paladin one too, seeing as Deathknights get a ground mount and a flying mount.
Dbhelix Jan 5th 2012 2:14PM
The warlock within me cries! Another mount I shall never have ... I hate the TCG
Ametrine Jan 5th 2012 2:47PM
the otherwise-pointless TCG getting exclusive loot to keep it afloat, and yet ANOTHER drake mount.
Blizzard, I am disappoint.
Scunosi Jan 5th 2012 6:07PM
Yeah, I do always wonder; does anyone actually PLAY the game? I've heard it's easier to understand than Magic, but I've never really known anything about it other than "you sometimes get in-game shinies."
Me I could never convince myself that spending any extra money on a game I was already paying monthly for was worth it. Well, other than that Moonkin Hatchling, but that was for charity! Technically.
Michael Sacco Jan 5th 2012 8:25PM
The WoW TCG is doing quite well.
Suzaku Jan 6th 2012 7:33AM
The World of Warcraft TCG is actually quite popular in gaming circles. Cryptozoic is even creating a completely new WoW deckbuilding game, unrelated to the WoW TCG.
