I enjoyed archaeology at the start; it was new - which makes things fun! Then I went for the achievements... Frustrating. So many Dwarven staves, so much RNG. That's just not fun. When I get the urge to grind for the Crawling Claw, this is my method:Load up Archy and TomTom, start flying, watch Star Trek: TNG on Netflix and go back to WoW only when TomTom pings that I am over my dig site. That is NOT how a game should be played - it should be engaging, in every aspect.Dungeons? You can derp around a little, but you're playing the whole time.Raids? You have to pay attention.First Aid? You grind cloth to turn into bandages, playing the whole time (minus a couple minutes of creating bandages).Nothing is as dull as archaeology. I really like the idea of choosing what races you want to dig up. Grinding for a pet or mount? Switch on only Tol'vir dig sites. There would still be travel time with other races, but it would never be useless travel time to fossil while you're grinding Tol'vir.
