Around Azeroth: Color-coordinated vermin
Ugh, Ahn'Qiraj was the worst. Not because the fights are terrible or anything -- in retrospect, they were some of the most fun I had in 40-man raiding, which admittedly isn't saying much -- but because they designed all the bugs way too well. Insect models that move like actual insects, with the hovering and stinging and general waspiness? Horrible, especially for someone who was living in a 150-year-old, centipede-infested house at the time. I wanted to take a shower every half an hour while raiding.
Anyway, Subatomic Particle from Zul'jin (US-H) ran an AQ-40 for fun and made sure that he and all his friends got their favorite color of horrible insect battle tank. "In the picture, you can appreciate the symmetry of the colors and the races," he writes. "You have a gnome on each side. The purple of the warlock suits the blue, the green of the rogue shoulderpads goes well with the green mount, and in the back you can see how good-looking the Explorer tabard looks on the yellow one. And finally, there's my paladin, Snauzberries, basking in the glory of Sulfuras, the red mount, and a completed Judgement set. Why? Because it's red, of course." Transmogrification has really brought out the fashion divas in some folks, hasn't it?

And yet another screenshot ruined by obnoxious wings. ~_~
Paladins and their wings.

".. in the back you can see how good-looking the Explorer tabard looks on the yellow one."
Actually you can't because the Paladin's "wings" cover it up too much. I agree, this shot would've been much better without the wing effect.

Wasn't there a rumor right before Ulduar was released that these mounts were going to be made world-wide rideable but the drop rate would be nerfed, My guild ran AQ40 at the end of December and they were dropping like, well, bugs sprayed by Raid. One guy, who was brand new to the guild and to raiding, ran his level 63 with us and won every. single. color. (sigh) I have about as much luck winning this as I do the Brewfest mounts. And, we left a bunch of blue and green mounts on the mobs because everyone in the raid had those colors.
My one wish for this raid is that there were teleporters from C'Thun to the dragon aspects at the front. Make them work only after C'Thun is dead but when you're turning in materials for the various armor pieces, having to run back is a pain.

There's always a rumor that the bug mounts are going "open air." It's never true.

These mounts are easily soloable nowadays by a level 85.
I only ran it a few times before I got bored and saw 10-20 each of the yellow/green/red ones but never saw a red one once, oh well.

Doh, saw 10-20 each of the yellow/green/BLUE ones, not red
