Male, with a male main and a selection of alts (currently three of each gender that I actively play). I know some players consider their toons to be extensions of themselves (1st-person narrative), but personally I see them more as other people whose adventures I am following (3rd-person narrative). So gender isn't too important really, although with so many games placing you in a lead male role, having a few female protagonists around is no bad thing.
