I never thought i'd say this sort of thing... but with the huge, 3 expansion old paradigm shift in the span between pve and pve...
Why are legendaries even allowed in Arenas and RBGs? there is nothing more pve than a legendary, nothing. yet you can absolutely dominate simply(i know it's not simply, but it's a simple switch from pve to pvp dominance, a nono these days) by adding a legendary for their ... legendary ... proc burst damage potential.
Not saying I agree with this, it's just a huuuuge discrepancy in all that is the qq about pvp stuff being good in pve, and vice versa. Someone, and not only ppl that get their faces melted by legendaries, has to have said this plenty before. I just dont rly care enough to check...

I couldn't agree more with you. Legendary weapons, even raid weapons with random proccs like Gurthalak and raid trinkets should simply be banned in an Arena and in Rated BGs. If raiders make the same argument against PvPers, then I can only give them a wry smile.
PvP season weapons take a few weeks to unlock so that the Blizzard's precious raiders aren't 'forced' to do PvP. The higher tier weapons have an even longer unlock requirement, not to mention the 2.2k rating needed in 3s, 5s or RBGs.
Finally, and this is really important, a raid boss doesn't care if someone hits them for 100k damage. In PvP, getting randomly killed by a trinket/legendary procc is hardly fair. Randomness makes the game interesting in PvE perhaps but in PvP it is crushing to be beaten not because you were outplayed, but because someone killed a preprogrammed, predictable enemy.
It is a sad season as Arms, when the raid finder Gurthalak is a far better choice than the current season's PvP weapons.
As for Matthew talking about Warriors being in a bad place in PvP, it is not the fact that a Warrior cannot do damage, but the fact that we:
a) bring little else to the table. Rets can cleanse and off heal, DKs have a spammable ranged root/aoe ground snare, silence, Anti-Magic Zone, Ferals have Cyclone and the frequent insta cast heals, and Rogues..no comment.
b) need to be CONSTANTLY baby sat by dispellers. Always in roots, always slowed, never in reach of targets.
c) have to put in way more effort for less reward compared to other classes. Managing bleeds, colossus smash, 3 stacks of Lambs, praying for enrages.
d) have seriously moronic cooldowns. Icebound Fortitude is on a 3 minute cooldown, makes you immune to stuns, reduces damage taken by 20% AND allows you to keep up full offensive pressure, along with a 45 second CD AMS that makes them immune to spell control as well. Rogues have Cloak on a 1.5 minute cooldown, makes them immune to spells, take 40% less physical damage and maintain full offensive pressure. Warriors get a 5 minute CD Shield Wall, 40% damage reduction, that can be negated by a Dismantle and that makes all our pressure disappear. Oh, forgot about Ferals and god-mode form that looks like a bear while hitting like trucks thanks to Vengeance.
