Patch 4.3.2 PTR official patch notes

Patch 4.3.2 is going to be a relatively minor patch, with one or two big changes -- the 64-bit game client we mentioned earlier today and the cross-realm Raid Finder feature. This is not a content patch, it's a patch with new features (rather than new dungeons or raids). That said, there's still a handful of class changes also going live with patch 4.3.2, and the official patch notes posted earlier today helpfully point them all out.
- In the Raid Finder, players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single roll.
- Vengeance will no longer be triggered by taking damage from other players.
- Hunters, Aspect of the Hawk will now grant roughly 35% more attack power.
- Priests, Mass Dispel should now be working correctly and prefer dispelling targets that have magic affects that can actually be dispelled.
KaivaxWorld of Warcraft Patch 4.3.2
Classes: General
- Vengeance is no longer triggered by receiving damage from other players.
Druids
- The Tier 13 Balance Druid 4-piece bonus now also increases the damage of Starsurge by 10%, in addition to its current effect.
Hunters
- Aspect of the Hawk now grants roughly 35% more attack power.
- Deterrence now also reduces damage taken by 30% while active.
- Black Arrow now ticks every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, as opposed to every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. The total damage dealt by the ability is unchanged.
- Lock and Load no longer benefits Arcane Shot, nor is it consumed by Arcane Shot.
Mages
- Fireball damage has been reduced by roughly 6%.
- Pyroblast damage has been reduced by roughly 6%.
Paladins
- Holy Radiance now costs 40% of base mana, up from 35%.
Priests
- Mass Dispel should again prefer dispelling targets that have magic effects that can be dispelled.
Dungeons & Raids
- You can now form same-faction raids with Real ID friends, allowing you to enter Raid Finder in groups larger than 5, run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds. You will not yet be able to run normal or heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm raids of Real ID friends.
- Several typo fixes and clarified descriptions have been added to the Dungeon Journal entries for Dragon Soul.
- Players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single Raid Finder boss kill. For example, a player who chooses Need on two set piece tokens or two weapons and wins the first, will not be eligible for the second on that particular boss.

It's a major disappointment if they don't make epic gems more widely available.
Every JC has the cuts, but none of us have the gems.
Hidendragon Jan 10th 2012 7:06AM
Massively agree with this statement. My JC has 10 epic pats but i only cut 3 of them once a week. My Intellect gem costs 3k min to buy mats and i struggle to sell them at 3.4k. yes i know a 400g profit isn’t bad, but its a massive outlay and after AH's cut and listing costs i only make around 200g. its such a small payoff for such a big risk. I can make 250g per Inferno ruby i sell/cut. Bringing this to my point. its keeping JC's out of the market as the risks are just too high, this in turn is keeping the prices extremely high and there are not many people who are going to pay 3.5k per gem on any realm, the ones i do sell have mostly gone to high end raiders where over all the gems the extra stat actually helps them down HC mode bosses.
Making the raw materials more readily available (not to much btw) will allow the market to force the price down to a more affordable price.
Just to put this is perspective, I have 2 raiding toons 2/8 HC DS that have no epic gems. Due to the cost of the raw materials i cannot justify spending 30k+ on each toon for an extra 100 increase in a core stat. and then again as i upgrade my gear again. i actually don’t have the amount of gold needed to do this either.
Just so its clear I have only explained the gold values of this to illustrate my point. I am not complaining about the lack of gold I can make as I only play the markets to make a gold so I can buy enchants, flasks and everything else that costs you gold., I am stating that I would love to be able to kit my toons out with epic gems but I just cant afford or even justify the cost.

Well, not every jc... Neither of my maxed jc's do, but then, that's because i have absolutely no access to epic gems. Why buy epic cuts when I'm never going to use them? Cmon blizzard, give us another avenue to acquire them.
terph Jan 10th 2012 9:29AM
@Hidendragon Man, I'd love to see 3k raw epic reds on my server. Ours are 9k-10k. And the supply is atrociously low. I rarely see more than a couple at a time. I can't justify filling 17 slots with epic gems on my heroic raiding toon either. :/ They aren't even available in the quantity I require. I have 2 epic gems equipped right now, but both were ones I lucked out and got myself.
Of course, the colors I don't need I can barely sell. Cuts go lower than the raw ones and for drastically lower prices. I'd complain more about my JC's wasted potential, but inferno rubies and some of the other cuts are still running at great prices.

I agree with the epic gems. I'm still in the process of buying them via the tomes but have received 2 epics so far. Plan to save those for Heroic pieces though.
The Mass Dispel fix will be good though.

Jumping on the PTR seems they still have not fixed the Rogue stealth animation. Guess my Rogue will continue to move like he really has to go to the bathroom.

I play ToR on top of WoW, we don't need you crying there either. Please stay away.

fire mages didn't need a nerf. and hunters didn't need a buff. /facepalm
i'm glad they left holy radiance's potency intact, i would rather have the increased mana cost over the (threatened) 15% effectiveness nerf.
WoWie Zowie Jan 10th 2012 5:26PM
not very popular post i see. hate fire mages all you want fellas, fire without the legendary staff is right where it needs to be.
raingod Jan 10th 2012 2:30AM
Mike is obviously worried people will point at his epeen and laugh now. It's apparently all he had.
ziis Jan 10th 2012 5:15AM

al.wisemanism Jan 10th 2012 7:12AM
If arcane becomes better than fire again, there goes my ret pally's progression spot :(
Wonk Jan 10th 2012 10:59AM
I warned those who were celebrating the DK nerf in AV last night... Never celebrate another toons nerf, you could be next!
Alishea Jan 10th 2012 11:21AM
when are they going to fix the freaking locks???????????????? :(
catherine Jan 10th 2012 4:27PM
but no frost mage nerfs? i had a mage hit me constantly for 14k-20k in less than 5 seconds on my 4k+res druid
Duroas Jan 11th 2012 12:06AM
No changes for warlocks. We are the perfect class
Dìomedes Jan 16th 2012 6:41AM
What about dual wielding, can I win two of the same weapon off different runs?
Otherguylb Jan 20th 2012 12:39AM
Why only Fire mages received the nerf? On forums everybody was whining about Frost Mages in pvp but never about Fire Mages... But no, we still got nerfed... GG...
Alishea Jan 20th 2012 3:45PM
when are you going to fix the lock blizz?????? its long over due
lessQQ Jan 31st 2012 3:54PM
No arcane will never be better than fire this patch, they are actually equal to bm hunters atm according to raidbots, and 3rd worst this patch.
