Patch 4.3 hotfixes for January 9, 2012

It's been a while since we've seen a hotfix announcement, but now that the holidays are over, the hotfixes are back in full swing. Today's list is a short one with no class changes, but it does include some much-needed Darkmoon Faire fixes as well as adjustments to instances and raids.
- Darkmoon items The Captured Journal and The Enemy's Insignia should now be able to be completed, even if they've been turned in in previous months.
- Darkmoon Tonks and Darkmoon Zeppelins will no longer become a Horde Balloon after faction-switching from Alliance to Horde.
- The proc damage from the Vial of Shadows trinket should now be increased by ranged attack power for hunters.
- Killing bosses in a guild group while using the Dungeon Finder should now award guild reputation and experience.

- Mobs that have been damaged by Shadowy Apparitions should again provide experience when defeated.
- Darkmoon Tonk and Darkmoon Zeppelin should no longer become a horde balloon after performing a faction change from Alliance to Horde.

- Twilight Elite Dreadblades and Twilight Elite Slayers should now refrain from doing melee attacks while mounted, and always engage and melee players after landing on the gunship deck.

- All Fading Light debuffs and Aspect crystal buffs on players should now be cleared when the encounter ends.

- The Corrupted Parasite debuff is removed from a character who leaves the zone.

- Players should now be able to complete the quests "The Captured Journal" and "The Enemy's Insignia" after having completed them in a previous month.

Items
- Vial of Shadows proc damage should now be increased by ranged attack power for hunters.
- Souldrinker and Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps no longer have a chance to proc twice for paladins with Seal of Truth active.
- Vishanka, Jaws of the Earth now invokes Speaking of Rage bonus damage that is treate as ranged damage and benefits from ranged critical strike chance.

- Pelturas Whitemoon should no longer becomes unresponsive after a player completes the quest "All's Well".

How about fixing LFR loot drops/rolls. Last week I saw triple drops of the same exact item on the last four bosses....

If you'd bother to research it yourself, they partially fixed the LFR loot finder. But they're also still working on it...

Three simple numbers. 4.3.1.
What they could fix are leg drops. Either I'm insanely lucky with my three paladin legs from raid finder, or they drop waaaay to often. I don't think I've seen them not drop, even after lfr on all four of my toons every week!

Seconded! I have over 400 of these in the bank, as I buy them (and other rep items) when they are on the AH really cheap to effortlessly rep up alts as needed. I tried to turn them in the other day and was bewildered when I could not. Had I not done the Orders from Lady Vashj quest on that toon, I wondered. After murdering over 20 Naga in H Steamvault with the item not dropping, I went to wowhead only to find the quest was removed and the item no longer drops.
What is confusing is that I have seen comments where people claim to have been told by GMs that this was an intentional removal, then still others claim to have been told by GMs that it was an unintended by-product of the recent reputation changes to the Outland dungeons.
Has anyone seen a blue post stating on the record that the removal was intentional (or the opposite)?

In this week's run, we had fading light kill a tank after Ultraxion died and one of the crystals last until we started gunship, not when we ported to the ship, but when the encounter started, wierd.

Holy goodness, they fixed Pelturas Whitemoon.
I can finally complete Kalmidor Loremaster. Every time Ive tried to decide to complete something 'major' on that continent on my original character, something has been bugged. First it was Thunder Bluff just not being explorable when I wanted to get world explorer before you could fly in Old World, and now when I finally decided to start the admittedly lesser grind than it used to be but still a grind of Loremaster, I run into that and just threw up my hands and gave up.
So glad that they've finally fixed that jerk and I can cure his daughter.

I hope they fix the bug where everytime someone joins or leaves a raid for lfr, you stand up. So much buff food has been wasted :(

Whew. For a second I thought they might fix the Darkmoon bug while the Faire was actually running.
