So now I am confused healer Dawn. This is the first I have seen of a priest gear list outside askmrrobot and their trinket choices are Heart of the Unliving, then everything BUT the new 4.3 trinkets, listing Avenger's of Hyjal trinkets as BiS behind the above mentioned Heart of the Unliving. I haven't had the luck to experiment with anything else yet, but if mrrobot is off, could you point me in a better directionP.S. Please update Priest healing 101 articles, they were great but are a touch outdated.

Askmrrobot is a terrible website. You shouldn't EVER go there for healing/gearing advice. EVER.

As with every gearing advice tool - Ask Mr. Robot, Rawr, etc - the tool just offers generic advice based on a set of criteria. If you can't step back and apply your own knowledge of how your class/spec works (and how you yourself utilizes the tools at your disposal) and to know why the tools recommend what they do, there's no difference between using tools and just picking up gear off a BIS list on a website. The default stat weights for Priests in Ask Mr. Robot put high weight on intellect and spirit. If you leave this default weight set up when you load your character to look at gear recommendations, Mr. Robot is going to favor trinkets and other gear with large amounts of intellect or spirit - the previously mentioned Avengers trinkets, for example, have large +int on-use effects. If you customize stat weights and assign a "spirit cap," Mr. Robot will then value spirit less and recommend different trinkets. The difficulty is understanding how the tools values items that don't affect a weighted stat. Mr. Robot conveniently provides a listing of how they weigh these items under the "Trinkets" area of their website. We see that mana conservation effects, such as 2P T13, becomes additional spirit, which needs to be taken into consideration when setting a spirit cap. Effects that provide additional healing, such as the Windward Heart and the Maw of the Dragonlord, the heal is translated to additional Spell Power, which makes it unlikely to favor those items due to naturally occurring Spell Power items - weapons, and the valor trinkets.

Well thanks for the replies, but both of your "advice" wasn't exactly helpful. I am looking for a resource like maintankadin that has both interesting discussion as well as experiences/theorycraft on encounters and item use/lists for priests. If you or anyone else knows of a good one point me in the right direction please.
