Blue posts
The Scroll of Resurrection will temporarily be unavailable while it goes on cooldown. As of January 10, 2012 you will no longer be able to send Scroll of Resurrection invites to your friends with lapsed accounts. Never fear, once this ability refreshes, we'll let you know. Keep an eye on the official World of Warcraft site for more information.

Meh. Just fix this bugging !#$#$@! patch. Kalimdor went down tonight and what do you know rolling restarts tomorrow. Probably not the only server it went down on.

I came in here to say that I really appreciate the time you take in gathering all this info together every day for "Today in WoW"! It's one of the few that I look forward to seeing every day I come here to WoW Insider.

"As of January 10, 2012 you will no longer be able to send Scroll of Resurrection invites to your friends with lapsed accounts. "
That seems a little illogical in light of the falling subscription numbers.

They're probably coming out with a new twist on the program.

Probably precisely why it is being "refreshed". New features, new bonus', maybe? I guess we will have to wait and see!!!

I would suspect some sort of change; they recently made it possible to do more content across realms. Perhaps they want to make some changes to the system to facilitate friends across realms to play together, but they want to give it some test time before they have it go live. With the recent MMO competition, they are probably trying to add some polish while nobody is looking.

Blizzard is probably seeing many players who have other Wow playing friends leave Wow to give SW:TOR a try, since those friends can bring them back at any time, with a bonus, through the Scroll of Resurrection. That might be what they're trying to avoid. "If we don't give them incentives for leaving our game and coming back, perhaps they won't leave at all."
