Ways to keep DPS happy for you
1 - (Tanks) Move the enemys butt out of the bad so melee can dps safely
2 - (Tanks) Don't pull more than you can handle. E.g The eagle guantlet in ZA, pulling all of them and then letting them run amok is bad
3 - Don't break our CC early
4 - Don't mock us about low DPS, we may have bad gear or not know the fight well
5 - Let us get ready before you stuff is pulled
6 - If we can't take your gear don't take ours.

This! I always do my best to responsibly dps, and I never, ever roll need on tank gear. My first time doing End Time with my ret pally, and a pally tank: Breastplate of Sorrow drops off Jaina and my eyes light up with desire. So. Much. Better. I hit need, the tank hits need, I don't win. I was disappointed, but whatever. Life goes on. Off Baine, the Axe of the Tauren Chieftains drops, a 2 hander that's better than the heroic Wild Hammer I was using. I hit need. Oh boy, look at that tank hitting need again and winning again. I tried to QQ to my healer husband, but when there hadn't been any cloth drops for him, he was giving no sympathy. Jerk. Still, when the Chrono Boots dropped off Murozond, I was the responsible deeps and despite having a prot off-spec, I did not hit need on them, because the tank hit need on them (surprise, surprise).
However, I did manage to loot Pit Lord's Destroyer off Well of Eternity later in the evening, so I didn't need to rage long.

Agree with all of those points. In particular, no.4. There are so many reasons that a person's dps might be low. For one, interrupting or stunning mobs isn't in a regular dps rotation. For another, positioning yourself safely interrupts rotation. They might be new, learning a new spec, testing their new ui, anything! And mostly my pet peeve is spine of deathwing encounter. That fight for dps is like healers and healing meters. There's only so much dmg that is ALLOWED to be done on that fight.. As long as the add dies, you did your job. Sorry I'm sitting 7th on the meters but hey, I was the first to switch to the new adds and cancel my dots when the amalgamation got too low.
