I almost never change specs. I have dual specs on my healer and tank, and rarely change to the priest's second spec. I'm getting better at my tank's offspec.I do think I need to tweak my Disc spec though, or something. My throughput's never been as good as others; I was kicked from LFR for "having low numbers" though it was more a DPS issue and too many people taking damage they could avoid, I think (it was Madness). I have never, ever been kicked from a group before, and my normal 10 man raid's always been fine with my healing. But I still know my numbers are lower than they could be, though am not sure what I'm doing "wrong". Still, I'd rather work through the problem and figure out how to fix things than change specs. That just means being low in a new spec until I figure that out, too. What produces the higher number for top-end raiders doesn't necessarily work for everyone else, and that's something I think people who swap to the flavor-of-the-patch specs too often miss when their own DPS/HPS/whatever stays low despite swapping; many of them still don't know the nitty-gritty details well and how to squeeze out the numbers they want because they flip-flop so much.
