They're trying to fill the niche that the current tablet market leaves for hardcore gamers. Most tablet gaming is aimed at the super-casual since hardcore games really don't lend themselves well to being played sans-controller. Razer is trying to tap that market by providing a more full-featured experience. I really get the feeling that this isn't aimed at MMOs in the slightest, but rather at console-style gaming, hence the controller.
