Is this a Game Master in the Armory?

The GM is named Melesong. She's a level 84 blood elf warrior on the Illidan realm. She's got only one achievement, reaching level 10 on Dec. 27, 2011. Her armor is sparse. She's wearing: She has no professions, no weapons, no PvP kills, and so on, but she's looking pretty in blue, plain as day for everyone to see.
This could be some odd glitch, or something else might be going on that we don't know about (perhaps a Martin Fury incident again, where some player mistakenly got sent something). However, that's all quite unlikely; this looks like a GM logged into the game world without their game master flag long enough to be picked up by the Armory, and we can all now take a peek and gawk at this for a bit before it's taken down.

I hope s/he doesn't get in trouble for this. You never know, I know some GMs say they aren't allowed to show themselves. Still, if the only achieve s/he has is for level 10, and the character is level 84, I don't see how it can't be a GM.
Still, pretty neat.

I just have to say - that is the awesomest avatar ever.
Also - spellcheck doesn't like the word "awesomest" Or "spellcheck" ironically enough.

Not to hijack this post, but also in the Reddit comments is yet another GM's armory, this time, however, from the EU.

Interesting how he has the exact same achievement and is also the exact same level. Or is that just my human brain's terrible tendency to pick out patterns where patterns don't exist? :P

O.O it's like proof that aliens exist among us, or something.

wow we get to look at some robes that GMs wear!!!
this isn't really incredibly exciting, it's not like it teaches us anything we didn't already know about GMs or GM equipment

Countdown until someone comes up with a transmog equivalent.
Ametrine Jan 16th 2012 5:22PM
Impossible. The Gamemaster items are 100% unique.
Snuzzle Jan 16th 2012 9:13PM
While it's true the GM robes are unique, it's not true that you can't find things similar. In fact, Alliance can get a pretty darned good knockoff, though when female characters wear it the graphic is slightly different. It's called Fur Covered Robe and it's an easily aquired quest item. Females can pair it with a Brown Linen Shirt and you're looking pretty Game Master-y.
For the hood, I recommend Augural Shroud, although the NPC that drops it seems to no longer be in game. But the color matches perfectly, and it's BOE, so if you get lucky and find one on the AH scoop it up.

And if someone decides that you're wearing that outfit to impersonate a Game Master, prepare to have the Fury of Martin fall on you from a great height.
Snuzzle Jan 17th 2012 9:47PM
If you're trying to trick people into thinking you're one, sure; but I don't see the harm in wearing it around for a laugh. Same as you can wear fake cop uniforms on Halloween or to a party, but if you start trying to pretend you really are one, that's a paddlin'.
StClair Jan 17th 2012 11:04PM
As I said (or at least tried to imply), it doesn't really matter what your intent was - it only takes one to file a ticket, and then the best case is that they let you off with a warning. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.

The stats are all completely empty too.
Which makes me think the achievement was her testing that she could do it.

This proves Warriors are the best class. Represent!
Ametrine Jan 16th 2012 5:24PM
Back in Wrath-era, I saw a female gnome warrior, Sulgyf, on the Armory... was in starter gear, at level 80, and with zero achievements. Yes, even the level-up achieves were blank.

I can remember we were in BWD and one of our guild members was talking to a GM, and the GM was watching us do 25 man Atramedes and was cheering us on, the GM said that if we downed him, she would show us herself and sure enough she did and we have screenshots of her and after about a minute or so she started floating into the air in a beam of light and disappeared. It was just awesome.

try the twitch factor with seeing a troll in blue just waltz into stormwind. went flagged and everything, nobody could touch him. after about ten seconds he just simply vanished.
figure GM coming to deal with a player's issue and forgot to go invisible. whoopsy.

How interesting. I am looking forward to cosplayers replicating the outfit at next years Blizzcon.
