My take on the 25 vs 10 man raid team issue:
(Preface this with - I've never raided in a 25-man group, beyond LFR, which for purposes of this conversation doesn't count)
I raid for the challenge, and to see the content, and to get sweet loot and progress my character. But - I do it with a group of people that I have fun talking to. We spend our time in vent cracking jokes, telling stories, discussing movies and other games... you name it. I *LIKE* my raid team, to the point where I look forward to interacting with them every Tuesday and Thursday. If I didn't have a quality group like I do? I probably wouldn't be raiding.
It seems like a lot of that would be lost in 25s... you can't have people cutting up in vent. It seems like it would be a much more business-like atmosphere. Maybe I'm wrong here, but as I see it, the social dynamic would be much different (more restrictive!) than it is in 10s, for no other reason than pure logistics.
I'll take my 10 man group any day. I just wish they hadn't hosed up the 10 man groups' ability to put together the legendary as badly as they did... :(
