Baine's gimmick is inherent to his setting. Pero's isn't. Assuming a truly neutral arena, i.e. no islands for Baine to smash, no lava bath for Pero, this shouldn't even be an issue. Hell, even if there _is_ lava, and Pero dips into it, the lava buff plus the stacking debuff inflicted on Baine by Pero's melee attacks should end it pretty quickly.
