Could this mean that I can roll a pink panda sooner? Seriously, I will go pink if it's an option.

It's a reduction in raid difficulty. What on Earth could this possibly have anything to do with pink pandas and/or Pandaren? I just... how did you get from point A to point Q?

@razion... it's not a crazy idea to think a raid nerf means they intend for the content to end sooner. Ending Cataclysm content sooner is a good indication that pandas are coming sooner.

Did the ICC nerfs help Cata release any sooner?

Really? I took it to mean Cata is coming later, not sooner. Think about it: progressive nerfs to raid content mean more people can get into normal DS, make the raid easier to PuG, and make it easier for players bored with normals to start pushing heroics who might never have bothered in the past (which is what happened to our guild and Icecrown Radiance). It's exactly the same situation as ICC, and that patch lasted a year =(

There was a commenter on a blue post that brought up that exact idea- If the nerf is 5% and normally get's to 30-35% then it would mean they are planning to do this for the next 5-6 months to get to that number. So to me, if you want to say anything about MoP's release, I would think this means later rather than sooner. Either way, I think we should wait for beta to open up before we start trying to say it will release in any particular month.

I was thinking more about beta than release. As this gets nerfed and more people complete it, the focus will be less towards it, and more towards Panda Land. It could be that they want more people to be well into Dragon Soul before they get pulled away into the beta (not all raiders that get into the beta will have time to test AND raid).

"If the nerf is 5% and normally get's to 30-35%..."Apparently you didn't read the blue comment that they may stop at just 5%.

Eel, you might want to go back and read the original post. The nerf wasn't intended to get more people into raids, but to help those already there, banging their heads against an impenetrable wall.

"This spell will grow progressively stronger over time to reduce the difficulty and make the encounters more accessible."Really Sam? Maybe you can go back and reread.

"Quote:'So basically 5% starting off just like ICC and every month after that another 5% up till we hit 35% which according to wowhead appears to be the cap. So thats like what 7-8 more months at least of Cataclysm with no new content.'The increase is not automatic or set in its frequency. We will be manually controlling when it increases, if at all. It will be completely based on how many people we see able to complete the raid, and our decision to increase it or not."http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/01/18/today-in-wow/http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3932904229?page=3#57Sorry if that's a bit hard to understand.
