I can't really imagine Blizz making such a huge blunder. The privilege of releasing it "when it is done" may not be on the table for them this go round. MoP will drop this summer, even if there are some problems, even if features need to get cut, even if summer is a crappy time to release a video game. Blizz is painted into a corner on MoP, I assume they are smart enough that they would not end up in this position without a plan. Blizz does not screw up badly that often.

/speculation

if not... well, at least the free copy of diablo (~ $60) will offset 4 months of wasted WoW sub money.
