Breakfast Topic: What would be your victory music?
When it comes to victory songs, I like to stay with songs that are fast and fun from the get-go. It's your cooling-off period -- you've just poured blood, sweat and tears into a boss fight, and now you get to relax. Sit back, listen to the music, roll on loot, and feel like a badass.
My victory song would have to be something like Invaders Must Die by The Prodigy. I linked the song at the top of the post for anyone not familiar with it. It's what many people call a trailer song in that it is a tune that you hear in movie and game trailers frequently. For instance, you'll recognize Invaders Must Die from such trailers as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Duke Nukem Forever. It has a sordid past.
What is your victory song? Which song gets you rocked and ready for the next boss encounter or some good relaxing time after a night of hard work? Which song plays when the bar his 0%?

"Ten Thousand Fists" by Disturbed. When you think about it, it's of course not really a victory song, but it just hits the nerve for me!

I love Disturbed, and the are from Chicago ;) After downing a boss though that is particularly taxing- I kind of just block everything out and just sit there. With the information overload that just went thru my head- listening to anything at that point would be lost. I'm weird that way. 5-10 min later, I am ready to listen to something soothing yet upbeat.

Fair enough :-) I'm trying to think of a good example now, soothing but upbeat... What is it you were thinking of?

I find that almost any Disturbed song is good for such occasions. "Ten Thousand Fists" got knocked off of the top spot (of my personal list) when I heard "Indestructible." Man, if there was ever a song to get psyched about tanking or PvPing, "Indestructible" is where it's at!
Soothing yet upbeat, huh? Hmmm... Off the top of my head, the Tomb Raider OST version of Delerium's "Terra Firma" comes to mind.

So weird. When I first starting reading this article "Indestructible" was the first song to come to mind.

Without a doubt. This (and all of the remixes like it) are my guild's fanfare.

Final Fantasy VII - Victory Theme
It never gets old! :-)

I was thinking the exact same thing. It may not be a full-on 3-minute song, but I still love hearing it when something dies.

I remember my old DBM had this fanfare for killing a boss. I wouldn't mind going back to it, or a remix of it.

Disturbed performing Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music.. great for a victory, or for listening to in preparation to fight in the first place.

of course that would be:
staying alive - bee gees. not much to add
Dez Jan 19th 2012 8:27AM
Doesn't DBM have a victory theme option? Think the default sound file is the Final Fantasy one, but you can add any MP3 you like, from memory. :)

I think having The Hellion pop up would be pretty mean, as it's short and sweet. Although hearing Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo the moment you kill Deathwing would be hilarious.

Outrage by Sister Sin. Just hearing the intro gets the adrenaline going to dive headfirst into a mosh pit!
